~ Lo'ak inspiring Sully. |
Lo'ak te Suli Tsyeyk’itan, or Lo'ak, is a major character in the Avatar franchise, serving as the one of the two main protagonists in Avatar: The Way of Water.
He is the 14-year-old son of Jake Sully and Neytiri. He comes along with Jake and his family when they leave the Omatikaya clan and join the Metkayina clan, happening to meet Tsireya who becomes his girlfriend, and Payakan, who becomes his spiritual Tulkun brother. He gets himself into trouble occasionally, particularly with his father for disobeying him, and with Tonowari for bonding with outcast Payakan.
He is portrayed by Britain Dalton and Chloe Coleman while young.
His Good Ranking[]
What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Good?[]
- Even though his dad didn’t give him permission to, he still risked his life to help fight against the RDA at the start of the movie.
- He defended his sister Kiri when Ao’nung and his friends were picking on her.
- Although he was angry at Ao’nung, he tried to kindle his friendship and went hunting with them, unaware they were fooling him.
- When Ao’nung was in trouble with his father for taking him outside the reef, Lo’ak took the blame for it and said it was his idea since he knew what it what it was like to be one big disappointment, despite what Ao’nung did to him. Ao’nung became nice to him after that.
- He refused to believe the rumors Payakan committed familicide, and became Payakan's spiritual brother.
- He wanted to warn Payakan when danger was coming since he was the only one to warn him.
- He risked his life to go and save Spider when he was in trouble.
- When his Dad, Jake was at risk of drowning and told Lo’ak to leave him, Lo’ak refused to let him drown and managed to save his life.
- While he may not have admirable feats like his parents and siblings, it is not fully fair to compare his deeds exactly to theirs as his are more limited due to his only living role for the film franchise, which places him to not be disqualified.
What Prevents Him From Being Pure Good?[]
- He has several minor jerkiness moments, such as picking on his sister Tuk and asking Spider who he thinks impregnated Grace with Kiri.
- His actions may have put other people in danger, which is shown when he pressured his brother Neteyam to fight against the RDA with him. Even though he does likable actions for good intentions to protect his family and everyone around him, it is still reckless.
