Leonardo is one of the main protagonists of the 1987 cartoon Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. He is the brother of Donatello, Raphael, Michelangelo and adoptive son of Splinter. He is the leader and commander of the Turtles and is the closest to Splinter.
He is voiced by Cam Clarke, who also voiced He-Man in the 2002 version of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe and provided the singing voice for Simba in The Lion King II: Simba's Pride as well as voicing Freddy in Barnyard, Mac in Clifford the Big Red Dog and Beau Neville in Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island.

What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Good?[]
- He has repeatedly proved that he cares very much about his brothers and foster father, and is always ready to save them from any danger.
- He proved himself to be a worthy leader, and under his command, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles always coped with any danger.
- He and his brothers saved April O'Neal from street bandits, after which they became friends with her. After that, they began to take great care of April, and constantly protect her.
- He and his brothers rejected Shredder's offer to join him in his evil deeds, even though he created them.
- He and his brothers became friends with the Frog Mutants, showing that they are not evil at all.

What Prevents Him From Being Pure Good?[]
- Sometimes he can be too stubborn. For example, when Splinter left him in charge, he was overly strict with his brothers, and constantly scolded them for not exercising every minute of the day, which also annoyed them.
