Leon Scott Kennedy is one of the main protagonists of the Resident Evil remakes. being the main Protagonist of Resident Evil 2 Remake & it's sequel Resident Evil 4 Remake. He teamed up with Chris' sister Claire Redfield to survive against the outbreak in Raccoon City. He was later trained and hired by the American government to find the President's daughter.

- Joined the R.P.D. so he can help ordinary civilians
- On his way to Raccoon City he stopped at a gas station to refill and hearing a crash in the store he investigated
- Asked a wounded cop if he was alright and made sure to come back to him after investigating the back
- Upon witnessing a zombie ripping a police officer's jugular out with its mouth, he tells it to stop
- Saved a random woman named Claire Redfield who herself is on a mission to look for her brother Chris, by telling her to duck so he can shoot the zombie behind her
- Escaped the station with Claire in a stolen police car and went to Raccoon City Police Station hoping for answers there.
- When at Raccoon City he watches in horror as the city goes to shit with the T-Virus Outbreak and most of the population has turned into zombies
- At the Police station, he asks if anyone is there and checks the security cameras and sees Officer Elliot Edwards being attacked by zombies and makes it his mission to save him
- When meeting Edwards through the shutter door, Leon tries to save him by pulling him underneath it, unfortunately, Edwards literally gets ripped in half by zombies and dies, but not before giving Leon a notebook for a way out
- Upon being Rescued by a heavily wounded and slowly zombifying Marvin Branagh when Leon was in a similar situation to Edwards, Leon expresses remorse that he couldn't save Edwards in time.
- After being Geared up for the first time on his first day, Leon makes a new mission to escape the police station with Marvin and wanted to take Marvin to a hospital but Marvin refuses and insists on taking him but Marvin tells him to go anyway as he will slow Leon down.
- Meets up with Claire Redfield outside the courtyard gate door of RPD, reassuring her that they will find Chris until a crashed helicopter explodes and alerts all the zombies, then Leon tells her to leave and find safety and the two of them agree to look to get through the outbreak together alive.
- After opening a secret passageway, Leon tries to Convince Marvin to come with him, but he refuses saying its too late for him as he is close to being a zombie, and Leon reluctantly leaves Marvin behind
- Fights Mutated William Birkin/G underground and emerge “victorious”
- In the parking lot, he expresses gratitude to mysterious random “FBI Agent” Ada Wong for saving his life from a zombie Dog and wanted to know what was happening to the city.
- Meets an imprisoned Ben Bertolucci and didn’t want to set him free due to believing he was a criminal because he was put in there by Chief Brian Irons and wanted to speak to him before freeing Ben, but the T-00 Tyrant showed up and is crushed Ben’s skull, killing him
- When Ada came to Ben’s Cell, Leon had some remorse for not listening to Ben as he had information for Ada’s investigation. And the two agree that if Leon finds a way out Ada will talk.
- When meeting Marvin again after this his infection had sadly won the war and he has turned into a Zombie, which Leon sadly has to put down and says he is sorry and promises sure to stop whoever’s behind the outbreak after.
- After getting the Parking keycard from Ben’s corpse he also finds a recorder and finds the interview between Ben and Annette Birkin and finds out about the underground lab and the G-virus,
- When Escaping the Prison block he runs into the Tyrant again and is choked by it until Ada saves him by running the tyrant over. And he is grateful for it.
- Gives Ada Ben’s recorder and the two leave the police station to go to the sewers
- Runs into Robert Kendo aiming his shotgun at Leon’s face after breaking into his gun store and asked him to put the gun away, and his slowly zombifying daughter Emma shows up, and Ada shows up wanting to kill Emma, but Leon tells her to let them be and Leon and Ada witness Robert’s heartbreaking breakdown wondering why and how the outbreak happened.
- After Roberts's breakdown and him killing Emma, Leon became determined to stop whoever started the outbreak and wants to save the city.
- Goes into the sewers with Ada on their mission to stop Annette Birkin and collect a G-Virus sample as evidence. While Telling Ada, she is stuck with Leon in her mission
- Runs across the Sewer while being chased by a comically giant Alligator which he kills after the beast bites into a flammable gas pipe which Leon shoots and explodes
- When meeting Annette face to face, Annette fires at Ada and Leon bodyblocks her taking a bullet to the shoulder to protect Ada, he also tells Ada to get Annette while wounded and forget about him
- After Waking up he finds Ada unconscious in the Garbage chute and makes it his next mission to save her
- Reactivates the power for the garbage chute door but William/G shows up again in its new form which Leon takes down again by knocking it off with a crane
- Saves Ada from the chute, ripping the debris shard in her leg, and bandages her up, ignoring Ada’s command to leave the city. Making a promise to protect Ada
- Goes to the Cable car with Ada to go to Umbrella’s NEST Facility to collect the G-Virus sample
- On the cable car, Leon claims he is eager to see the FBI raid Umbrella’s headquarters and bring justice to them, Ada orders Leon to collect the G sample himself as she has become deadweight but Leon tries to tell her he won't leave her but Ada kisses him giving him the motivation to get the job done.
- Goes into the NEST facility and collects the G Sample and goes back to Ada
- While escaping William/G shows up yet again, only this time Annette is there and she puts G Down with acid rounds, and Leon orders Annette to tell him what happened, which she does, and Leon tells Annette she is responsible regardless
- When G wakes up it throws Annette across the room, and Leon is left forced to FIght G another time and emerges victorious in this fight too
- After G’s defeat, he makes it up an elevator to Annette, who tells Leon that Ada is a mercenary, not FBI and she is going to sell the G Sample to the highest bidder then Annette “dies”, and Leon is left conflicted
- Confronts Ada on the bridge telling her he knows she isn't FBI and refuses to give her the G-virus, then Ada threatens Leon at gunpoint, and Leon retaliates saying he is going to Arrest Ada but stops himself telling Ada to shoot him if she can do it, but Ada couldn’t do it, and she is shot in the shoulder by a still alive Annette right before she dies for good,
- When the Bridge collapses he accidentally drops the G Sample and Grabs Ada before she can fall to her death, but Ada willingly lets go and she falls leaving Leon sad
- Reunites with Claire via a video call, telling her to evacuate the facility as it is Self Destructing,
- Fights the Tyrant one last time in its new form, destroying it for good after Ada gives him a rocket Launcher
- When on the train leaving the deteriorating facility he admits he misses Ada already
- Reunites with Claire and her new companion Sherry Birkin,
- Helps Claire fight William/G in his final form by detaching the train car G is on, allowing it to be killed for good by the flames of the facility being destroyed.
- At the End of the Line, Leon, Claire, and Sherry decide to stick together and stop the outbreak if it is over.
RE4[]
- After escaping Raccoon City, though he was technically forced to become a government agent at the behest of U.S. President and that his training under the tutelage of Major Jack Krauser was extremely harsh, Leon pressed on in order to be able to save lives better than he used to.
- Unlike in the original game, Leon is confirmed to be traumatized by the outbreak that doomed Raccoon City and its inhabitants whom either turned into zombies or met their end by the nuke, more so due to countless lives lost there. Not only he kept the knife from his late friend Marvin as both his signature melee weapon and keepsake, but also used such ordeal as his motivation in both aforementioned government agent training and cpmbating biological threats in years to come.
- 6 years after RC, in 2004 he goes on a new mission in the Valdelobos village in Spain to investigate the U.S. President’s missing daughter Ashley Graham with 2 local cops a bearded one and a glasses one
- When arriving at the place, the bearded cop excuses himself to piss but takes too suspiciously long and Leon investigates while the glasses cop stays behind to watch the car
- Breaks into a lodge and finds a Ganado (a villager infected with a las plagas parasite), Leon apologies for breaking in and asks him if he knows where the cop is, only for the cop to attack Leon, which Leon has to kill
- Finds the cop dead inside a hunters lodge with a slit throat and when Glasses cop spoke to him via walkie talkie and Leon tried to speak to him only for Glasses cop to be kidnapped and the line went dead
- After finding a map and a picture of Ashley on the top floor of the lodge he tells his handler Ingrid Hunnigan this, asking her for information and sadly about to tell her about the cop escort deaths until he is interrupted by Ganados.
- Watches in horror as the glasses cop is burned alive in a ritual
- Fights off many ganados in the village including a chainsaw one until the church bell goes off and they all leave.
- Goes into a house and finds a bodybag writhing and opens it up revealing a random man named Luis Serra Nevarro who he was about to rescue until the VIllage Chief Bitores Mendez shows up and knocks Leon out and injects Leon with a plaga egg
- Awakens while restrained with Luis and Leon interrogates Luis for what he knows about Ashley and Luis reveals all she is in the old church.
- Saves Luis from being killed by a ganado with an axe by pulling him out of the way and kills the ganado which drops his key which Luis uses to free himself and throws the key across the room
- Breaks out of his restrained with the thrown key and contacts Ingrid telling her Ashley’s location and do a background check on Luis
- Goes into Mendez’s Manor only to be attacked by Mendez himself and put in a choke as Mendez inspects Leon and sees the plaga is starting to infect Leon, then Ada saves Leon, by shooting off Mendez’s hat, then Mendez leaves.
- Leon can Save a wolf who was trapped in a bear trap
- Getting the key he goes to the lake and fights Del Lago a giant sea monster and kills the monster, then Leon coughs blood and falls unconscious.
- Wakes up after a hallucination and heads back to the church
- Fights and kills an El Gigante with the help of the wolf Leon saved if Leon let the wolf go
- Rescues Ashley Graham from the Church.
- Escorts Ashley across and protects her from any ganados who try to kidnap her to an extraction point.
- Takes shelter inside a cabin with Luis and fights off many Ganados while hiding Ashley
- After Ashley reveals a freeing path Leon, Luis and Ashley run from it and escape to safety
- When Ashley coughs blood he asks Luis to explain and he says that Ashley and Leon are infected with a plaga and that they have a chance to remove the parasite while they still have the time if they choose to trust Luis which they do
- Informed by Ingrid that the chopper can’t make it due to the bad weather, Leon reassures her that they will make it back safely in another way
- Fights two crazed chainsaw-wielding female ganados.
- When Ashley is nabbed by Mendez Leon protects her by stabbing Mendez in the arm, which does nothing but let Ashley go, then Leon is thrown across the place.
- Runs away from Mendez protecting Ashley from him and other ganados until they make it to a bridge which Leon accidentally destroys but makes it to the other side while Mendez looks on
- Goes to a slaughterhouse where he is again ambushed by Mendez and fights and kills Mendez in his mutated form in a burning house
- When Ashley gives Leon a way out from the burning building he thanks her and the two move on to not catch any attention from the ganados and go to a castle but the gate raises behind them and locks them in
- Informed by Luis that he has suppressants for the plaga they decide to meet in the castle’s courtyard
- When Inside the castle he meets the castellan Ramon Salazar and denies handing Ashley over to Ramon, and Ramon retaliates by sending in zealot ganados which Leon protects Ashley from
- When reaching the courtyard Ashley faints in Leon's arm, and all of a sudden Ashley becomes possessed and steals Leon's knife and begins to attack him and fails, and Leon tries to do something but Ashley pulls the knife to her throat and walks away and a gate closes them off, then Ashley regains control and was horrified at what she has done and runs way ashamed, leaving Leon to call after her
- After the separation, Leon begins to track down Ashley
- Meets up with Ada Wong, disarming her in a brief confrontation, and rejects Ada’s idea to leave Ashley.
- After searching around the place he finally finds Ashley secluded in a room comforting and reassuring her that it's fine to be afraid but can’t stop moving forward and that they will make it out alive which Ashley appreciates.
- Contacted by Luis again Luis tells Leon to go to the ballroom beyond the courtyard where they next go to.
- Gets trapped in a cage while Ashley is free, Leon commands Ashley to run while Leon fights the zealots.
- When thrown a key by Ashley Leon tells her he can catch her once he frees himself, only for Ashley to be kidnapped by one of Salazar’s right hand a Verdugo
- Contacted by Ada she gives Leon a tip to find Ashley. And searches around the castle looking for her
- Finds Ashley in the throne room he tries to save Ashley but is incapacitated by a Verdugo and watches in horror as Ashley is forced to drink a black liquid which makes her plaga symptoms worse, then Leon is thrown down a hole below, and promises to save Ashley
- Fights one of Salazar’s Verdugo's in an underground lab and can kill it by freezing it
- Escapes the lab via an elevator but his symptoms worsen and has a vision of Saddler. Then at the bottom, Luis shows up with suppressants which he gives to Leon.
- Injecting himself with a suppressant he feels better and is still determined to save Ashley disregarding his own life as the suppressants will not last long, then continues on with Luis
- When in a blast furnace an El Gigante shows up and drags Leon and Luis out, Leon saves Luis by warning of another armored Gigante about to stomp on him, then the duo fight the giants
- Rides through the plaga mines in a cart with Luis only to reach a dead end, and jump out of the falling cart, he also saves Luis by helping them up when he was hanging off a steep platform
- In an elevator, he gets Luis to confess his reasoning to for why he is helping Leon and Ashley and Luis reveals he was working for Los Illuminados and is trying to atone for his sins by helping Leon and Ada
- Upon reaching the top level, Jack Krauser shows up and throws a knife into Luis’s back which Leon is horrified by and realizes that Krauser kidnapped Ashley.
- Has a knife fight with Krauser but it is cut short as a still-alive Luis shoots Krauser and Krauser leaves
- Comforts Luis in his final moments and Luis gives Leon a key to his laboratory and Leon lets Luis have his final cigarette before he dies and puts his lighter in his dead hands, calling Luis a fine knight and wanting to make Krauser pay for Luis.
- Contacted by Ada again she gives another tip on Ashley's location in the clock tower where Leon heads to next and remarks that Ada isn’t heartless
- In the tower Leon sees Ashley escorted by Salazar and goes after them
- Inside another building, Leon tries to rescue Ashley but she is taken away by Krauser leaving Salazar with Leon, and the two fight after Leon has had enough of Salazar’s shit
- Seeing Krauser and Ashley on a boat heading to an island, Leon goes after them with Ada in another boat
- In the boat, Leon says he has changed after RC and how saving just one life results in the deaths of hundreds, he also asks Ada if she has changed at all, or if she is going to use Leon again but Ada gives no answer and she leaves Leon once arriving at the island, and Leon docks the boat.
- Arriving at the island he sees Krauser take her to another room where he heads next fighting off the many military ganados in his way
- Finds Ashley knocked out inside a cell and starts a search to get into the room fighting off the regeneradors who are mutants who can regenerate any wound in seconds
- Reaches Ashley’s cell, he sees that her symptoms are worsening, and gives her a suppressant, but his is wearing off at the same time, then Leon sits by Ashley’s side waiting for her to wake up.
- When Ashley wakes up she and Leon vow to get rid of their parasites for Luis’s sake
- Contacts Ada asking her the location of Luis’s lab which she gives, then they start to head there
- Encounters a weak wall and Ashley uses a wrecking ball to break it while Leon provided cover for her to do the job from many attacking ganados
- On an elevator, Ashley says she and Leon work well together which Leon agrees to, wants to be an agent like Leon and protect the US which he responds that they first have to escape.
- Meets the cult leader Osmund Saddler face to face and he restrains Leon through mind control and controls Ashley to kill Leon with his pistol, Ashley tries to resist by shooting 2 of Saddler’s attendants and when the gun reaches Leon the gun jams, then Saddler leaves with Ashley and Leon vows to go after them.
- Fights Krauser again on a battlefield this time, Leon does give Krauser another chance to redeem himself but Krauser refuses, and Leon regretfully puts down Krauser for good with his own knife, but not before Krauser proudly tells Leon he trained him well which Leon agrees to
- Finds Ashley being escorted into a sanctuary by Saddler’s attendants and heads there next fighting through lots of ganados with the help of a combat chopper pilot named Mike sent by Hunnigan which Leon remarks of owing Hunnigan one.
- At the landing site, Leon was about to board the helicopter but Saddler sends in many Novistadors to crash the helicopter, and Leon vows revenge on him for that
- At the sanctuary, he finds Ashley unconscious on an altar and tries to reach her only to be restrained again by Saddler.
- When Saddler tries to persuade Leon into accepting the plaga Leon refuses and Saddler makes the plaga infection inside Leon faster, but it is cut short when Ada shows up and saves Leon by distracting Saddler and Leon takes Ashley with him
- Goes to Luis’s Lab while trying to Ignore Saddler’s hallucinations and he first removes Ashley’s parasite ignoring her offer of Leon going first. He also comforts Ashley by holding her hand as the surgery did its painful work, seeing Ashley is cured, Leon is happy then faints
- Waking up he finds his plaga is removed by Ashley and is grateful for her with the two free from Saddler they move on and they are both grateful for Luis
- Finds Ada tied up and hanging from a tower and makes sure to set her free, temporarily leaving Ashley Behind
- Frees Ada, but Saddler shows up and is upset that Leon got rid of his parasite he mutates into a monster.
- Fights and Defeats Osmund Saddler in his new forms, saving the world from him
- Was about to grab a plaga sample but Ada takes it saying nothing bad will happen to it and offers Leon a ride in a chopper but Leon refuses as he still has to save Ashley, Ada accepts this and gives Leon a jetski key and leaves as she detonates the island
- Escorts Ashley out of the Island in the new jet ski.
- After this Leon rejects Ashley’s proposal of being her bodyguard telling her she is fine by herself, then the two head back to the U.S. for Leon to finish his mission
- While he is mostly lethal to ganados and zombies it is in self-defense
- He meets the admirable standard for saving the world from Saddler and the Los Illuminados from committing omnicide through the destruction of free will.
What Prevents Him From Being Pure Good?[]
- He has some minor jerk moments; these can be seen in his beginning interactions with Luis Serra and saying he should have left Luis in the bag to rot after finding out he used to work for Umbrella.
- While most of his lethality is self-defense there are a few that aren’t or are too much to be considered it, for instance at the beginning where he broke into a man's/ganado’s house and the ganado retaliated by attempting to kill Leon with an Axe but Leon blocks it and kicks the ganado into the wall “killing” it by snapping his neck open, keep in mind Leon didn’t know about the plaga infection until then. There’s also his first face-to-face meeting with Osmund Saddler, Where Leon shoots Saddler in the eye for introducing himself, before getting the full picture of who and what Saddler is. While Saddler does appear in Leon’s hallucinations it’s still not enough for him to know who he is.
