Kristoff is the deuteragonist of the Frozen franchise.
He is a member of a group of ice merchants from the kingdom of Arendelle, who once got astray from them when he and his pet reindeer, Sven, followed the King and Queen and their daughters to a place in the woods inhabited by trolls. He'd become a part of the troll's family, and later get involved with the royal family again when he helps Princess Anna find her sister, Elsa, at the top of the North Mountain. While initially seeming rough and rude, he is an actually very kind person, serving as a foil to the evil and misleading Prince Hans.
He is voiced by Johnatan Groff.
His Good Ranking[]
What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Good?[]
- He agreed to help Anna go up the North Mountain, although initially for his own reasons.
- He rightfully pointed out why Anna should not rush into a marriage with Hans, someone she just met, listing several questions a person should intimately know about their partner.
- He saved Anna's life more than once while going up the mountain and fighting the wolves.
- After Anna's heart was struck by Elsa's powers, he took her to his troll family to heal her.
- When Anna's conditions worsened, he snapped the trolls out of their singing and asked where Pabi was.
- He and Olaf got Anna to Arendelle, which'd be important to end the winter.
- When he realized he was the one who could help Anna, he and Sven got back running at Arendelle to try to save her.
- When the spirits started attacking Arendelle, he helped the others evacuate the city and bring everybody to safety.
- He accompanied Anna, Elsa, Sven and Olaf to the Enchanted Forest to find a way to ease the spirits.
- He and an army of reindeers helped Anna in her way to destroy Runeard's Dome and make peace with the spirits.
- He subverted most of his corrupting qualities, such as his initial behaviour upon meeting Anna, in the second movie.
What Prevents Him From Being Pure Good?[]
- He fails to stand out completely compared to Anna and Olaf, although it is not fair to compare him to Elsa because of her powers.
- When Olaf sings about how he wants to be in the summer, Kristoff tells Anna "he'll tell him", only to Anna to snap him out of that idea, and this intent to end Olaf's dreams isn't subverted.
