Komaru Naegi is the main protagonist to Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls. She made a small appearance in Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc.
She is the sister of Makoto Naegi and is one of the participants of the Demon Hunting Game by the Warriors of Hope.
In the Japanese version, she is voiced by Aya Uchida. In the English version, she was voiced by Cherami Leigh, who also did Isobel on Turning Mecard for the Mattel version, the games and Alexis Tipton in the anime.

What Makes Her Close to Being Pure Good?[]
- Despite her depression and insecurity after her parent ‘s death, she remains very cheerful and kind towards others.
- During the Tragedy, where the world plummeted into despair and lost seven of her classmates, she kept assuring herself that everything will be alright.
- Even after being imprisoned by the Ultimate Despair, she kept on defying her captors every morning.
- Plucked up the courage to fight the Monokumas, using the hacking gun she received from Byakuya.
- When an injured Future Foundation member told her to flee outside towards a helicopter, she asked him to join her.
- Felt immense guilt when leaving the member behind to fight single-handed against the Monokumas.
- When she meets the other members outside, she is still worried for the agent inside the family restaurant and requests one of the agents to go look for him.
- When she met the Warriors of Hope, she asks them to stop the manslaughter they're causing.
- When she hears that Byakuya has been captured, she has shocked and is remorseful about leaving him behind.
- Creates a plan to save Byakuya, and once Toko allows her to be with her she hugs her.
- Is horrified by Yuta's death and still tires to find a way out of this town for his sake.
- When Masaru commits self-harm to himself, by punching his arm, she tells him to stop.

- When Toko accuses Haiji of being a weak leader, due to him wanting to wait for the right moment to strike, she sided with him arguing to Toko that she did not understand the feelings of the weak.
- Realised that Toko's cruel remarks, her turning herself into Genocide Jack and loosing on purpose was a act, to make sure that she would leave her without hesitation and rebuts this by saying they've been together all this time.
- Stops Genocide Jack from killing Nagito, all in order for Toko to keep her promise to Byakuya to never kill anyone in order for Toko to become an official member of Future Foundation.
- Never thought of Toko/Genocide Jack as abnormal.
- Chose to stay in Towa City because she did not want to leave Genocide Jack/Toko
- Despite Genocide Jack/Toko stating that she betrayed her, she states that she did not, says that she still feels guilty about it and that she will continue to help Toko as a friend.
- Though she did destroy Shirokuma, it was consensual since Shirokuma begged Komaru to shoot him, even going so far as to force Komaru into shooting him by attacking her, to block the hole all in order to prevent more Monokumas attacking the adult base.
- Gained courage and confidence after witnessing Shirokuma's sacrifice, stepped up to the top of the radio truck and surprised herself by delivering a rallying speech that worked up the adults, which inspired many adults.
- Defeated all of the Warriors of Hope.
- Willed herself to carry Tokuichi Towa's severed head, in a tote bag.
- Was deeply hesitant on breaking the controller, realizing that something was not right.
- Defeated Monaca and Kurokuma.
- Even after falling into despair, she gets right back up with Toko's help stating that she wants to protect both the children and adults.
- Defeated the Big Bang Monokuma.
- Decides to stay in Towa City, to protect both adults and children. Said that she's staying because if she left with Byakuya and Toko, the Future Foundation would find out about the dark secret revolving around the Towa Corporation, which will lead to the Remnants of Despair gathering at Towa City and ending in yet another war.
- Decided to stay as a hostage so Byakuya and Toko can convince the Future Foundation to not attempt anything on the city.
- Even after witnessing her parents dead on video, when she went into the same room they were found dead, she did not find their bodies, believing that her parents are still alive somewhere.
- She is willing to work together with the former Warriors of Hope in order to bring down Monaca.
- When Genocide Jack is clinging onto the flying van's door, she convinced her that it was useless to force Monaca to answer the truth.
- Contacted her brother from what she learned about Monaca.
- She helped her brother and the other members of Future Foundation in rebuilding Hope's Peak Academy.
What Prevents Her From Being Pure Good?[]
- When she watches her parents dead on a video, she was suddenly willing to destroy the controller, which would kill all the brainwashed kids, to end this madness. She would have gone through with it had Toko not stopped her. However, this was a minor prevention since this was a result of despair, and Toko helped get her back on her feet.
Trivia[]
- She is the only Danganronpa main protagonist to be Near Pure Good, as other main protagonists are all Pure Good.
