Kitty Softpaws is the deuteragonist of the 2011 animated film Puss in Boots and its 2022 sequel Puss in Boots: The Last Wish. She is an infamous outlaw who helped Puss save San Ricardo from the Terror. She is also Puss's girlfriend.
She is voiced by Salma Hayek and by Margo Rey in the Puss In Boots short The Trident.

- She tries to warn Puss about Humpty's plan.
- When Puss in Boots goes to prison, she gets him out.
- She cooperates with Puss to give the Goose back to Terror.
Puss in Boots: The Last Wish[]
- While she was hostile towards Puss when she met up with him again, she later showed remorse for it and begins getting closer with him again.
- She, along with Puss, showed horror and sympathy towards Perrito when he told him his "funny" story, which was about his former owners tormenting him and attempting to drown him, Kitty even said that he out of everyone else deserves to make a wish.
- When Puss has a panic attack after meeting Death and Perrito comforts him, she says she also didn't come to the wedding as an attempt to cheer him up.
- She forgives Puss in Boots for his arrogance and selfishness after his fight with Death and helps him defeat Jack. Then they, together with Goldilocks, destroy the map so that no one else can use it for selfish purposes.
What Prevents Her From Being Pure Good?[]
- She can be lethal for bad reasons, as she threatened to cut Perrito's throat, even though he had done nothing wrong to her.
- Unlike Perrito, who presumably wasn’t aware of his doings, she has criminal tendencies that she doesn't subvert, such as her and Puss stealing the governor's boat.
Trivia[]
- Interestingly, Kitty indirectly saves Puss's life after giving him her Gatito Blade when he was honest about how he felt about his beard, once when he uses the knife to hold onto the Wishing Star and twice when he uses it to parry Death's attack, further tying into the two's character arcs of getting rid of old grudges and opening up to each other.
