Kitana (also known as Princess Kitana or Lady Kitana) is one of the main protagonists in the Mortal Kombat franchise. She is one of the main protagonists of the new era and she is one of the two tritagonists (alongside Kung Lao) of the Mortal Kombat: Titan Trilogy.

She is the princess of Edenia and the biological daughter of King Jerrod and Queen Sindel, as well as an adopted daughter of the evil Emperor Shao Kahn.

In the series' original storyline, Kitana formerly served Shao Kahn as an elite assassin before becoming one of the leaders of the good characters. In Mortal Kombat 11, she’s voiced by Kari Wahlgren, who also voiced Emma Frost.

In General[]

She is a genuinely sweet and kind person who is both a loving girlfriend to Liu Kang, and cares for her friends and family.
Like Cassie Cage and Sonya Blade, her fatalities are really quick, killing the opponent in a matter of seconds with little to no pain or suffering involved.

Original Timeline[]

Stood up against Shao Kahn when the truth was revealed that he killed her true father and had ordered Shang Tsung to create horrific replicas of her to replace her as his daughter.
In her ending of MK: Armageddon, has her join forces with Sindel, Jade, Sonya Blade, and Lie Mei, to form a female fighting force to permanently defeat all forces of evil and banish them to the Netherrealm.

Alternate Timeline[]

Mortal Kombat 9[]

Helped to protect Earthrealm from being conquered and merged with Outworld.
Her ending in the 2011 game has her actually take pity for Mileena and attempt to convince her to join her and Jade as a team.

Mortal Kombat 11/Mortal Kombat 1[]

Manages to convince Baraka into switching sides and turning against Shao Kahn.
Successfully united all of Outworld, becoming a Kahnum.
Gave Shao Khan a well-deserved beatdown, against a fight, and sliced his face, blinding him.
Spared Shao Kahn's life, despite him committing the most heinous actions throughout the entire series and in spite of the villainous actions he did to her.
Aided in the fight against Kronika with the might of Outworld's armies to save the universe and trillions of innocent lives from being wiped out.
She continues to fight alongside Liu Kang as a fellow Keeper of Time, and staying true to her MK11 ending, where she brings peace to all the realms.

What Prevents Her From Being Pure Good?[]

She harshly disowned Mileena as her sister and called her an abomination, even though she never asked to be created, though given the fact that Mileena very likely had bad intentions upon meeting her, this is minor prevention, but she still didn't need to be harsh about it.
