~ Khan to Uzi before giving her mother's collar to her. |
Khan Doorman is a supporting character in the webseries Murder Drones. He is the father of Uzi Doorman and the leader of the Worker Defense Force, as well as the maker of the doors on Outpost 3. While initially a cowardly and negectful parent, Khan comes to realize his errors with Uzi and become a better person, helping her in saving the universe from the Absolute Solver.
He is voiced by David J. Dixon.
His Good Ranking[]
What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Good?[]
- When Nori and Yeva got into the surface after Copper 9's core collapsed, Khan helped in getting them out of the holes.
- He builds the doors to Outpost 3 on Nori's request to protect the Worker Drones to be safe when the Disassembly Drones attacked, keeping hundreds of them safe for years.
- He hit Nori's body with a wrench to give her a mercy kill after she was hit with nanite acid from a Disassembly Drone, unaware she had actually survived as a core.
- While he was neglectful towards Uzi, even calling her a disappointment on a newspaper interview, he ended up feeling remorse for how he treated her and leaving her to die, acknowledging that he had failed both Uzi and Nori and hoped that he could at least help Uzi be safe.
- He comforted Uzi when he saw her crying in the cyropods and she hugged him.
- He tried to help Uzi connect with her classmates and even had her teacher bring Lizzy and Doll to help her, unaware of the latter two's plans.
- He went to save Uzi after she was nearly attacked by Doll.
- He gave Uzi the collar of her mother to help her find more about her past and her Solver.
- He went after J to stop her from helping in the destruction of Copper 9, even bringing Thad and Lizzy along so they could fight her.
- He saved N from being devoured by the Solver, which helped in saving the universe from it.
- He is shown to have become a more supportive father, being seen congratulating Uzi during her class presentation and playing cards with her and N.
- Even though he refers to Disassembly Drones as a "bad crowd", this seems to be because of them being mass murderers and bad influence towards his daughter rather than any personal xenophobia, unlike his wife Nori, who hates Disassembly Drones for destroying her body and even slapped Uzi for dating N. By contrast, Khan doesn't have any negative feelings towards the Disassembly Drones themselves, being happy that they are friends with Uzi and even saving N despite being one.
What Prevents Him From Being Pure Good?[]
- While he does subvert many of his corrupting qualities, he is still shown to have a jerk moment where he blames the teacher for how Uzi ended up being and threatened to install a door on his face if he called her damaged again, however, given how the teacher was being rude to Uzi and this shows Khan’s love for her, this is a minor prevention.
Trivia[]
- Way early into the show's production, Khan was originally intended to be the main antagonist before the idea was dropped. Had this pitch gotten picked up, he probably wouldn't have qualified as Near Pure Good.
