Kazuto Kirigaya, born Kazuto Narusaka, and also known by his avatar name/nickname Kirito, and his tittle, the Black Swordsman, is the main protagonist of the Sword Art Online franchise.
He is a legendary swordsman of near-godlike power, who was a beta player and one of the 10,000 people trapped in the virtual game, Sword Art Online, created by Akihiko Kayaba. He's also the boyfriend of Asuna Yuuki.
He is voiced by Yoshitsugu Matsuoka in Japanese and Bryce Papenbrook in English, the latter of whom also voices Zeldris from The Seven Deadly Sins, and Adrien Agreste/Cat Noir in Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir.

What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Good?[]
- He always tries to help his friends and allies, even when they say they don't want it.
- He has an extremely strong sense of justice and is almost always able to tell what actions are right and wrong.
- For this, he says that there are some things that someone should do regardless of whether they're against the rules, and vise versa.
- He played as the bad guy solely to take all the hatred for beta testers onto himself, so that nobody would discriminate against them.
- He saved 6000 people by defeating the game's creator, Akihiko Kayaba, and was even willing to give up his life to do so.
- He cares more about others than that of his own life.
- He tries to show others that their lives have extreme value.
- He went out of his way to stop grievers from disrupting the Sleeping Knights' goals.
- He ruled the Underworld as the benevolent Star King to help them heal from the damage of the Final Load Test, and from Quinella's reign.
What Prevents Him From Being Pure Good?[]
- He sometimes has moments of being a jerk to others (though this has become increasingly rare, therefore making this a minor prevention).
- He has his moments of arrogance due to being an expert in the video games.
