“ | You're right, PAL. They're...they're not easy. Sometimes you have to listen to long monologues about triceratops migration...but it's worth it to get a friend for life. And...sometimes you have to eat disgusting cupcakes shaped like your own face, but it's worth it to see your mom smile. Sometimes you have to give your dad the benefit of the doubt, even if all he wants to do is talk about pine cones and screwdrivers. Because, even if he doesn't get it right, he's always trying...harder than you ever know. My whole family tried to come together, and it worked. It actually worked. Families can be hard, but they're so worth fighting for. They might be one of the only things that are. | „ |
~ Katie to PAL about her connection with her family and on difficult relationships. |
“ | I'm NOT a human! I'M A MITCHELL!!! | „ |
~ Katie finally defeating PAL once and for all. |

Her Good Ranking[]
What Makes Her Close to Being Pure Good?[]
- While most of her original motives to stop PAL were centered around her going to college, she was still doing it to also save the rest of humanity as she was clearly shocked by PAL's decision to send all of humanity into space in general.
- She helped her family fight off an army of PAL chip-enabled devices in the mall, including a giant Furby, which were pursuing the family.
- When she found Rick's recordings of her childhood on her camera, she came to the realization that her father gave up on his lifelong dream so that he could instead give her a normal life.
- She infiltrated PAL Labs HQ with Aaron and Monchi's help in order to rescue Rick and Linda from PAL.
- She helped her father upload the video of Monchi, which would short-circuit the robots in PAL Labs HQ, by explaining to him how to use the device required for the task.
- After PAL asks her to give her a reason why humanity is worth saving, she explained even though her family have many struggles on a daily basis, they will still always be connected in spite of how different they are.
- She stopped PAL from sending all of humanity into space by knocking her into a glass of water, killing her.
- By the end of the film, she subverted almost all of her original selfish tendencies in favor of protecting her family and the world from PAL.
- She comforted her family before leaving for college.
What Prevents Her From Being Pure Good?[]
- She is shown be arrogant which she never fully subverted such as choosing to burn down the mall because it would look cool, despite Rick objecting against it, and denying Aaron's concerns about trying to get to PAL's lair with Rick's car.
Trivia[]
- Katie and PAL are opposites, as Katie starts the movie excited to go to college and leave her family, but learned to love and appreciate her family (specially her father) more, while PAL started the movie as Mark Bowman's best friend but started hating humanity after he replaced her, both are the main protagonist and antagonist, and both are Near Pure Good and Near Pure Evil.
