Jenny Bennett is the tritagonist of the 2006 animated film, Monster House.
Her Good Ranking[]
What Makes Her Close to Being Pure Good?[]
- While Jenny initially displayed a bit of snarkiness and haughtiness in her earlier scenes, she would later subvert these corrupting qualities throughout the film due to her developing friendship with DJ and Chowder.
- After witnessing a dog being abducted by the house, Jenny decides to help DJ and Chowder defeat the monster.
- Along with Chowder, she helps DJ figure out the numerous disappearances surrounding Horace Nebbercracker's home.
- She helped formulate the plan to invade the house and figure out what was going on.
- When the two police officers attempt to discover what's going on with the house, Jenny (along with DJ and Chowder) attempt to warn the officers not to go inside.
- During her exploration of the house after her, DJ and Chowder got swallowed whole, Jenny helped Chowder regain his composure.
- Made the house throw up in order to save her, Chowder and DJ from its clutches.
- When DJ and Mr. Nebbercracker were trying to figure how to destroy the house from the inside during the final battle, Jenny helped by creating a distraction.
- To ensure the safety of the town, she helped DJ and Chowder destroy Constance Nebbercracker's spirit who was haunting Horace's house.
- Was essential to deal the final blow by lighting the dynamite and throwing it to DJ while he swinged over the house.
- She returned all of the toys that Mr. Nebbercracker stole to the neighborhood children for no other reason other than the goodness of her heart.
What Prevents Her From Being Pure Good?[]
- While it might be a bit unfair to compare her actions to Mr. Nebbercracker, who spent decades trying to protect the neighborhood children from his wife's wrath and who is the only person who can approach her safely, she fails the admirable standards to DJ and Chowder who played a much larger role in the house's defeat.
Trivia[]
- Jenny Bennett used to be a Heroic Benchmark because it was thought that her heroic deeds were shared between DJ and Chowder and that she had too many jerkish moments to qualify. When it was revealed that Jenny subverted her jerkish moments and did enough heroic deeds for her to stand out, she was proposed and approved as Near Pure Good.
