I think you're pretty cool just the way you are.
~ Jailbreak complimenting Gene and encouraging him to accept his faults/glitch.

Jailbreak is the deuteragonist of the Sony Pictures animated movie, The Emoji Movie.

She is a former princess emoji, who defected from Textville due to it being a place where you're resigned to be what you were made to be, and nothing else. She became a hacker under the alias Jailbreak, who eventually helped the glitched emoji Gene and his best friend, HI-5, in their quest to reach the Cloud so they can both achieve their dreams, though all of the three's perspectives change throughout this journey.

She was voiced by Anna Faris.

Her Good Ranking[]

What Makes Her Close to Being Pure Good?[]

  • Over the course of their adventure, she became less egotist and more open to make friends.
  • She told Gene she thought he was cool with or without his glitch, which kickstarted his development in accepting his characteristics.

  • Despite Gene setting high standards by saving the cellphone and all of the emoji and programs in it, she plays a very big part of this as well, by convincing Gene to deliver the message to Addie, and directly delivering the message by being in the text booth.

What Prevents Her From Being Pure Good?[]

  • She can have very jerkish interactions with others, even after becoming less egotistical at the end, most notably threatening to break all of Hi-5's fingers should he tell anyone that she could summon birds with her singing.
