Ichigo Kurosaki is the main protagonist of the Bleach franchise. He is the son of Isshin Kurosaki and the late Masaki Kurosaki. He has the powers of a Soul Reaper and later revealed to have the powers of a Quincy. He is protective of his friends and wants to protect them from danger.
He is voiced by Masakazu Morita as a adult, and Yuki Matsuoka as a child in the Japanese version of the anime, and by Johnny Yong Bosch as a adult, (who also voices Giyu Tomioka in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, Hajime Hinata in Danganronpa, Vash the Stampede in Trigun, and Nero in Devil May Cry), and Mona Marshall as a child in English.

What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Good?[]
- Ichigo is shown to be selfless as he was willing to risk his life to save his friends from danger.
- Ichigo assists Rukia with stopping the Hollows from terrorizing people in Karakura Town.
- When he found out that Rukia was forced to go back to Soul Society and that she will be executed, Ichigo takes it upon himself to go after her and save her. To that end, he endured a vicious and nearly life-threatening training from Kisuke Urahara so that he can gain the powers he would need to save her.
- Ichigo risks his life fighting against Soul Reaper in his goal to prevent Rukia's execution. For instance, choosing to fight against very strong Soul Reapers like Renji Abarai and Byakuya Kuchiki to try and reach Rukia.
- Ichigo saves Rukia from her execution where she was set up by Sōsuke Aizen.
- He fights against an army of Arrancars that Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez summoned and tries to stop them from causing harm.
- Ichigo goes on a mission to Hueco Mundo with his friends to save Orihime Inoue from the Espada and Aizen. He risks his life fighting very strong Espada like Grimmjow and Ulquiorra Cifer to save and protect Orihime.
- Ichigo fights against Sōsuke Aizen and was instrumental in defeating him. With Aizen's defeat, Ichigo saved Karakura Town, the 13 Court Guard Companies, and the entire world.
- After being tricked by Kugo Ginjo and the Fullbringers, Ichigo takes it upon himself to stop Ginjo in his plans to go against the 13 Court Guards.
- Ichigo fights against the Wandenreich when they invaded the Seireitei to wreak havoc and attempted to stop the most powerful member of the organization, Yhwach.
- Ichigo continues to train to understand himself and Zangetsu. When he realized the realized that Zangetsu was connected to Yhwach, the man who murdered his mother, Ichigo did not hold anything against Zangetsu.
- He continues to fight against Yhwach to stop him from attempting to destroy the Living World, Soul Society, and Hueco Mundo which would have killed all life in all worlds. While he was not successful in his second attempt to stop Yhwach, Ichigo manages to defeat him with the help of Uryu, Renji, and Aizen, saving all three worlds.
What Prevents Him From Being Pure Good?[]
- He can be a jerk at times. While it is shown to be comical in many instances, some instances have him being seriously rude to his friends and allies when he feels annoyed by them.

- He and Rukia Kuchiki are currently the only Near Pure Good heroes from Bleach.
