Hope Newman, also known as The Fifth Key, is a main character appearing in Season 7 of Criminal Case, titled Criminal Case: Supernatural Investigations where she serves as the Tech Expert of the Supernatural Hunters. She's a selfless supernatural hunter that always helps the player and makes sure everything is in line. She's the most level-headed of the team and is the best friend of Gwen Harper.

What Makes Her Close to Being Pure Good?[]
- Helped her guardian, a demon, get back to his world before the events of the game.
- She's always helping the player.
- In the "Southwest" arc, she helped the player the most to take down a serial killing ghost and getting the people the ghost possessed out of jail.
- In "A One Wolf Open-Slay", she helped Santa restore his GPS to bring children presents.
- In the end, Hope retained Arthur Darkwood's demonic powers to fight the Demon King. Later, Hope defeated the Demon Queen and wiped out all demons, saving hundreds of universes in the process.
- She committed other smaller heroic acts.
What Prevents Her From Being Pure Good?[]
- She has a lot of jerkish moments, like attacking Felix for correcting her, and screaming at Gwen for listening to romantic music, just to name two examples.
- She was also arrogant, as seen when she fled from the team just to keep her guardian, a demon's, big secret.
Trivia[]
- Hope is, alongside David Jones, the only two Criminal Case heroes to be Near Pure Good.
- Both she and Jones have similar types of preventions.
