Hildegard von Krone, or Hilde for short, is a recurring heroine in the Soul Calibur video game series. She is the princess of a fictional German kingdom called Wolfkrone. After her father the king fell ill and transformed into a malfested, Hilde became the regal apparent and rallied her kingdom together to fight off the forces of evil.
She is voiced by Yūko Kaida in the Japanese version and Julie Ann Taylor in the English version in both original and alternate timelines.

What Makes Her Close to Being Pure Good?[]
- Hilde is a kind, brave warrior princess, who deeply cares about her people's well-being, and will do anything to keep them safe out of harm's way, even if it means sacrificing her own life in the process.
- She rallies an army to fight against Nightmare's forces twice, in both cases winning against them.
- She is never lethal nor arrogant in combat, and always fights with honor.
- In her Soul Calibur IV ending (canon debatable), she forgives Seigfried for the sins he has committed and spares his life; she later joins forces with him to stop Nightmare, and succeeds (this information is canon).
What Prevents Her From Being Pure Good?[]
- Her late debut and little screen time prevents her from standing out amongst other major heroes such as Sophitia Alexandra and Siegfried Schtauffen.
