Her Good Ranking[]
What Makes Her Close to Being Pure Good?[]
- While initially hesitant, she soon joins the Phantom Thieves shortly after meeting them in order to stop herself from being thrust into a forced marriage with Sugimura.
- She encouraged Morgana to stop hiding his true feelings from the group and be honest about how much they mean to him as a family.
- Even before becoming a member of the Phantom Thieves, she always yearned to be a superheroine like the ones she grew up watching on TV so that she could save and protect people in need, something she admits to the rest of the team later.
- She changed her father's heart, what she strived to do ever since she first joined the Phantom Thieves.
- She helped the rest of the Phantom Thieves stop the evil and tyrannical Masayoshi Shido from conquering Japan by becoming the prime minister of the country.
- She helped in stopping Yaldabaoth, a false god who is the conductor of all of the game's events, who tried to wipe out all of humanity and trapped them into a totalitarian state.
- In Persona 5 Royal, she aided in taking down Takuto Maruki, who trapped and brainwashed everyone into a false world where everyone is happy, but in reality, is a dystopian society where Maruki pulls all of the strings.
- In Tactica, she helped Erina & the Rebel Corps take down Marie (Toshiro's fiancee), Yoshiki (Toshiro's father), Nakabachi (the evil vice-principal of Toshiro's high school), & Toshiro's "Shadow Self", which led to the real Toshiro also actively helping the Phantom Thieves after awakening Ernesto (his Persona who was actually also Erina) take down Salmael, who was responsible for Toshiro's in-game suffering.
- Her attacking the other Phantom Thieves in Persona 5 Tactica not only was due to being controlled by Toshiro's cognition of Marie, but is only simple kill-the-hero villainy & pales in comparison to her heroic deeds.
What Prevents Her From Being Pure Good?[]
- She fails the admirable standards to Ryuji Sakamoto and Makoto Niijima, with Ryuji nearly killing himself to save the Phantom Thieves when Shido's Palace was collapsing, and Makoto risking her life so the Thieves could gain intel on Junya Kaneshiro and helped Sae redeem herself.
- She was a little hypocritical, at least early on; while she had a valid point in criticizing the Phantom Thieves about not knowing what they want to do and not helping Morgana, in addition to reluctantly refusing to work together, this conveniently ignores the fact that Haru, herself, was unable to use her Persona because she didn’t know what she wanted to do, being reluctant to fully rebel against her familial love for her father because she wanted to believe that Okumara was still a good man deep down, just lost his way. Also, her true motive was to escape an arranged marriage, not necessarily to redeem her father, nor help Morgana, but she was too hesitant to admit it. Thankfully, she realized that she wasn’t being completely honest with herself and joined the team, to which she fully awoken to her Persona, finally accepting that her father is completely distorted making this a minor prevention.
- In Mementos, she talks about killing Shadows and how they plead for their lives as they're dying in a cheerful way, which shows a lethal and sadistic side to her personality. This is slightly focused on in Tactica as dialogue, where Futaba warns Ryuji that he'll get "cut down" if he stands in Haru's way, as a response to him not seeing sense as to how shooting enemies with a gun makes her as energetic as she would be if she swings her axe at them.
- She is reckless at times as evidenced when she drove the Phantom Thieves' van to Kyoto which caused the others to feel panic and anguish over what just happened.
