Gray Fullbuster is one of the tritagonists of the anime/manga series Fairy Tail. He is a member of the Fairy Tail guild and founding member of Team Natsu.
He uses Ice-Make Magic, who learned this magic from his mentor Ur. After his mentor's death by using Iced Shell to defeat Deliora, he later follows Ur's advice to find strong wizards in the west. He is a close friend and rival of Natsu Dragneel.
He is voiced by Yuichi Nakamura and Eri Kitamura as a child in the Japanese version of the anime, and by Newton Pittman and Ryan Reynolds as a child in the English version.

What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Good?[]
- Gray displays a high amount of loyalty towards his guild members. He is always willing to help the guild when in danger, and even sacrifice his life to defeat enemies.
- Gray is shown to display a more reckless attitude when he was younger. However, as he gets older, he begins to act more mature and cautious about life.
- He and Natsu are often seen fighting due to being rivals. Despite this, he really cares about Natsu and is willing to help him when needed.
- After defeating Juvia, he saves her from falling by grabbing her hand. This made the rain around her stop, eventually leading her to redemption.
- He, Juvia, and the rest of Team Natsu went to recuse Erza and Happy since they got kidnapped in the Tower of Heaven.
- Since Laxus was trying to harm the guild, he helps prevent that from happening by destroying one of the Lightning Lacrimas he created.
- When Sherry turned to the dark side due to Nirvana's activation, he prevents her from attacking Natsu and Lucy since she was trying to attack them to avenge Lyon's death.
- When the Oración Seis were about to destroy the Cait Shelter, he helps prevent that from happening by destroying one of the Lacrimas.
- He helps Team Natsu with the recuse of the Fairy Tail members from Edolas.
- He saves Juvia from Ultear, who was about to strike the killing blow.
- He plays a valuable part in defeating Grimiore Heart and Hades himself.
- After he figured out that his father Silver wasn't Deliora, he refused to kill his father since he lost him years ago due to Deliora.
- After his fathers soul was free, he keeps his fathers promise in defeating E.N.D., the strongest demon in the Book of Zeref.
- After gaining Ice Devil Slayer Magic from his father, he was able to arrive just in time to help Natsu and the Twin Dragons by freezing Mard Geer Tartaros attack. He later helps Natsu defeat Mard Geer Tartaros for his fathers sake.
- Though Gray joins the Avatar Cult, making him act as a villain, it is revealed that it was a mission from Erza to gain more information about the cult itself. He even apologizes later for his actions as a villain.
- While he left Juvia alone without saying anything, he was trying to protect her and even apologizes for it later.
- He helps fight the Avatar Cult,and saves a whole town from them since the Avatar Cult were about to kill 30,000 innocent lives just for the sake of getting Zeref to notice them.
- Gray joins Team Natsu to save Makarov from the powerful Spriggan Twelve by trying to sneak him out and bring him back to Fairy Tail.
- Gray sacrifices himself by stabbing himself in the stomach to prevent killing Juvia when they were forced to fight and kill each other.
- Gray's Devil Slayer Magic was slowly corrupting his heart and mind, which slowly transform him into a Demon. However, after Juvia's death, defeating Invel Yura, as well as finding out that Natsu is E.N.D., he was willing to kill him. However, thanks to Erza from stopping Natsu and Gray fight to the death, Gray completely abandons the goal, and snapping him out of his corruption. He even finds out that Juvia is still alive. Gray will always view Natsu to be his best friend, no matter what his idenity is.
- In order to defeat Zeref without actually killing him (if Zeref dies, that would also lead to Natsu's death since he's E.N.D.), he was willing to risk his life by casting Iced Shell.
- Gray takes a big part in rewriting the Book of E.N.D. so Natsu will be able to defeat Zeref without Natsu himself dying (though Gray sadly never knew Zeref's true nature and that he really wanted to set everything right after being unable to for more than 400 years). He even removes the demonic effect Lucy has received when trying to rewrite the Book of E.N.D.
- He takes a big part in sealing Acnologia, which helped save the world. He made iced boats with Lyon (since Acnologia was once a Dragon Slayer himself, he suffers from motion sickness) so it can help seal Acnologia.
What Prevents Him From Being Pure Good?[]
- Gray is shown to act like a jerk to his guild mates, and often gets into childish fights with Natsu. He is even willing to talk trash about the guild every now and then. However, these scenes are generally played for comedy, making this prevention minor.
