Glenn Rhee is a major protagonist in the AMC's The Walking Dead. He was the late husband of Maggie Rhee, and the late father of Hershel Rhee.
Prior to the zombie apocalypse. he was a pizza delivery boy, but became one of the most helpful members in Rick's group. He was brutally and infamously murdered by Negan Smith with his baseball bat Lucille.
He was portrayed by Steven Yeun.

What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Good?[]
Season 1[]
- He saved Rick's life by telling him that he had a chance to get out of the tank Rick was in.
- Alongside the other members of the group, he helped making sure T-Dog was okay after he got beaten up by Merle.
- He put his life at risk alongside Morales so they could see if there was a way out of the store, telling the group that he would not put their lives at risk as well.
- Alongside Rick, he covered himself in walker guts so they could get through a herd and get out of the store so the other members of the group would be able to escape from it.
- Glenn went back to the store with Rick, T-Dog, and Daryl to rescue Merle.
- After he was kidnapped by the Vatos, Glenn still helped in taking care of one of the group's elderly, Mr. Guilbert, who was suffering from an asthma attack.
- He convinced Morales and Daryl to not burn the bodies of the members of the group who died in an attack by walkers.
Season 2[]
- Alongside the rest of the group, Glenn went to look for Sophia after she went missing.
- He went to the Greene Farm to give antibiotics to Carl and so they would be able to take care of T-Dog after he was injured in his left arm.
- He helped in making a grave for Otis.
- He went to the pharmacy with Maggie to get supplies.
- Put his life at risk to attract a walker and stop him from continue to infect the group's water.
- He gave Dale his book back after reading it.
- He went back to the pharmacy to get medicine to Lori after finding out she was pregnant.
- He saved Maggie when she was about to get killed by a walker.
- After he told the group about the walkers in the barn, he stopped a fight between Shane and Rick.
- He was the only member in the group to not immediately kill the walkers after they were released from the barn, and only doing it when Maggie gave him the permission to do so.
- Alongside all the other members of the group, he helped in saving Beth from her zombified mother.
- Alongside Rick and Hershel, Glenn helped in saving Randall despite him having tried to kill them.
Season 3[]
- He saved Maggie by going to a room with her to escape from the walkers.
- He helped in taking care of Hershel after he lost his leg because he got bit by a walker.
- He gave food to Oscar and Alex.
- He comforted Maggie after finding out she was okay and that she had to cut Lori open to save Judith.
- He dug the graves for T-Dog and Lori.
- After Rick went berserk, Glenn went to him to calm him down.
- He refused to tell Merle where his group was even while being tortured by him.
- He protected Tyreese's group from Rick when he went insane.
- He apologized to Maggie for his obsession with revenge against the Governor and Merle.
Season 4[]
- He allowed Bob to join the prison group after he met him on the road.
- He went on a mission with Daryl, Sasha, Tyreese, Bob, and Zach so they could get supplies to the group.
- He, alongside the other members of the prison council, decided that Rick should have a gun every time he leaves the prison so he would be able to fight against walkers and other threats if they appeared while Rick was out of the prison.
- He helped in protecting the prison from the walkers.
- He helped Hershel in taking care of the people in the prison that were infected by a flu.
- He tried to go with Maggie when she went looking for Beth during the battle in the prison.
- He snapped Tara out of her depressed state and helped her get out of the prison.
- He apologized to Abraham for punching him and hoped his group would be able to get to Washington.
- He put his life at risk in order to save Tara even when she told him to leave her.
Season 5[]
- He decided to go to save the Crazed Man (although he was unaware of his actions) even when the group was against it.
- He stopped a fight between Abraham and Rick twice.
- He was shocked when the group brutally murdered the termites.
- He tried to stop Abraham from beating up Eugene, despite the latter lying to them about knowing the cure to stop the zombie virus.
- He helped in saving Noah from walkers.
- He helped in cutting off Tyreese's arm off to try to save his life and helped in getting him to the car for the same reason.
- He calmed down Maggie when she found a walker tied up in the back of a car.
- He tried to give water to Maggie and told her that life was worth living when she was questioning it.
- He saved Aaron from a walker.
- He saved Tara when she was getting attacked by a walker.
- He saved Eugene from a walker.
- He tried to save Aiden Monroe's life.
- Alongside Eugene, Glenn got Tara to Alexandria after she was heavily injured, saving her life.
- Even after everything he did, Glenn still spared Nicholas and brought back to Alexandria, and forgave him and caused him to redeem himself.
Season 6[]
- He helped in getting a massive herd away from Alexandria.
- He saved Nicholas from a walker.
- He helped an Alexandrian get up after she broke her ankle.
- He tried to stop Nicholas from committing suicide.
- He was able to convince Enid to go back to Alexandria and comforted her over her parents' deaths.
- He nearly sacrificed himself to save Maggie and Enid from a herd.
- He helped in saving Jesus' friends from walkers.
- He felt extreme difficulty in killing the saviors in their sleep and felt deep remorse for it even though he knew that it was to protect Alexandria and Hilltop and that the saviors were awful people.
- He comforted Maggie after he found out she escaped from the saviors.
- He tried to stop Daryl from going on a quest of revenge against Dwight for killing Denise.
Season 7[]
- In his final moments, Glenn reassured Maggie that he would find her in the afterlife.
What Prevents Him From Being Pure Good?[]
- He has an antagonistic relationship with Daryl's racist brother Merle:
- He got angry at Rick for allowing Daryl to leave with Merle.
- He tried to convince Rick to use Merle as trade to make a truce with the Governor, despite knowing that he would likely kill Merle because of his betrayal.
- While he put his hatred for Merle aside for his group's wellbeing, he still never apologized to him even after he changed his ways and redeemed himself.
- He told Daryl that he would never forgive Merle for allowing the Governor to sexually assault Maggie (though this was understandable).
