Gidget is the tritagonist of Illumination's 6th animated feature film The Secret Life of Pets and a major character in its sequel The Secret Life of Pets 2.
She is voiced by Jenny Slate.

The Secret Life of Pets[]
- As we first meet her, she is usually has a crush on Max most of her life, always asking what he is doing.
- When she realizes Max is not with Mel and Buddy alongside Duke and Max and Duke are gone, she tries saving them, especially Max and prove being his true love.
- Even though Gidget didn't trust Tiberius at first, she gave a second chance and said if he helps her find Max, they can be friends and frees hi to help her find Max.
- She tells Chole, Mel and Buddy that Max and Duke are missing and wants them to work together finding them at once (along Tiberius).
- She asks Pops if he can help us and he agrees to help
- She got angry at Snowball for willing to kill Max and telling him to stay away from him before Snowball told his gang to get Navigation
- and the other friends.
- After escaped from Snowball and his gang, Max's friends thought to give up, but Gidget gives them a speech that they are not giving up and they all are dogs.
- They finally find Max and Gidget defeats all of Snowball's entire gang all by herself to save Max.
- She was relived that Max and Duke are alive after getting gout of the truck like everyone else.
- When Max asks if they can go on a date, she accepts it and feels happy about it.
The Secret Life of Pets 2[]
- She gladly want to keep an eye on Max's toy while he's gone.
- She does lose the toy, but does find it only to be stuck with aggresive hostile adopted cats, so she asks Chole how to be a cat so she can save the toy and worked thanks to Chole's help.
- She came up an plan to save the toy, and works by having a plan B as well.
- Gidget gives Max, Snowball, Elise, and the White Tiger a lift after defeating Sergei.
What Prevents Her From Being Pure Good?[]
- She does ultimately fail the admirable standards to Max who is more admirable deeds than her.
- She threatened Ozone the Ugly Cat to talk by slapping him and yelling at him where Max is, but this happened 20 seconds and this happened one time, so this is an minor prevention.
