Gidget is the tritagonist of Illumination's 6th animated feature film The Secret Life of Pets and a major character in its sequel The Secret Life of Pets 2.
She is voiced by Jenny Slate.

- When she realizes Max is not with Mel and Buddy alongside Duke and Max and Duke are gone, she tries saving them, especially Max and prove being his true love.
- Even though Gidget didn't trust Tiberius at first, she gave a second chance and said if he helps her find Max, they can be friends and frees him to help her find Max.
- She rallies Chloe, Mel, Buddy, and Sweet Pea to help find Max and Duke.
- She enlists the help of Pops to look for Max.
- After the group escaped from Snowball and his gang, Gidget remains determined to find Max and tells her friends not to give up.
- After finding Max, Gidget defeats Snowball's entire gang all by herself to save Max.
- When Max asks Gidget out on a date, she happily accepts it.
The Secret Life of Pets 2[]
- She gladly keeps an eye on Max's toy Busy Bee while he's gone.
- After accidentally losing the toy to a group of vicious cats, she asks Chloe to help teach her how to be a cat so she can get the toy back.
- She gives Max, Snowball, Daisy, and Hu the White Tiger a lift after defeating Sergei.
What Prevents Her From Being Pure Good?[]
- She ultimately fails the admirable standards to Max who has more admirable deeds than her.
- She threatened Ozone the Ugly Cat to talk by slapping him and yelling at him to tell her where Max was. However, this was the only way she could get him to talk, so this is a minor prevention.
Trivia[]
- Jenny Slate played another white-furred animal character from a 2016 animated film, that being Dawn Bellwether from Zootopia, who is ironically a Near Pure Evil.
- To further highlight the irony between them, Bellwether's a prey because she's a sheep, while Gidget's technically a natural predator since she's a canine.
- Although she is Near Pure Good as of right now, there’s a chance that her status might change in the upcoming third film.
