Gajeel Redfox is a major protagonist in the fantasy anime and manga series Fairy Tail
He is an Iron Dragon Slayer and a former S-Class Mage of Phantom Lord and a member of the Fairy Tail guild. He was initially the only Dragon Slayer in the guild who didn't have an Exceed as a partner, until Pantherlily came to Earth-Land from Edolas and he welcomed him in.
He is voiced by Wataru Hatano in Japanese and David Wald in Fairy Tail later Phil Parsons in Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest in English.

What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Good?[]
- Although he originally wanted to destroy Fairy Tail, he eventually redeemed himself, joining them, and subverting his villainous qualities.
- After his redemption, Gajeel gained respect for others, most notably Pantherlily in their battle in Edolas, where he genuinely smiled when Pantherlily ditched his armor & Bustermarm in favor of a traditional fistfight.
- He saves Natsu from Laxus's attack.
- He reprimands Laxus for going as far as to try to kill Natsu with his lightning when they were supposed to be allies.
- Like all other members, he of course wishes to protect Fairy Tail as much as he can.
- He is compassionate towards his guild mates and girlfriend.
- Protected his girlfriend Levy when Laxus shot his lighting at her.
- Tells Shadow Gear he understood that his actions were heinous and terrible,making himself an open target to protect his friends and realizing his mistakes.
- Despite his cold personality, he succeeded in befriending most of the guild and warm up to those he considers friends.
- He took part in defeating Acnologia in the time rift with the other Dragon Slayers.
- He ate magical barrier particles to sacrifice himself to save Levy from Bloodman.
What Prevents Him From Being Pure Good?[]
- He still has many jerkish moments, not to mention a wrathful personality, often getting in fights and butting heads with Natsu.
