Foaly one of the main protagonists of the Artemis Fowl series and a minor character in its follow-up series The Fowl Twins. He is a paranoid centaur who has kept Haven safe for hundreds of years and helped stop multiple people from endangering the fairies and humanity on several occasions. He is one of Holly's best friends and technological creator for the LEP.

- He has some moments of mischievousness such as annoying Julius when he knew he was irreplaceable.
- He has moments of arrogance such as when he was delighted to be unimpressed at Artemis' display of his invention at the beginning of the 7th book.

- He, the film and book versions of Holly Short, and Artemis Fowl are the only Artemis Fowl characters to be Near Pure Good.
