Mistress Flora (also known as Aunt Flora or just Flora for short) is one of the three deuteragonists of Disney's 16th full-length animated feature film, Sleeping Beauty, alongside Merryweather and Fauna.
She is the leader of the three good fairies of Aurora's kingdom who spread peace and goodwill. She is the wisest fairy, despite her moments of short temper, and her main color is red/pink. When King Stefan and Queen Leah's daughter, Aurora, was born, Flora and her sisters went to her Christening to bless her with gifts, with Flora's gift being the gift of beauty. However, an evil fairy known as Maleficent cursed the princess as revenge for not being invited to the celebration, saying she'd die at her sixteenth birthday.
After Merryweather changes the curse to be a sleeping curse until Aurora can be woke up when her true love kissed her, Flora, Fauna and Merryweather decided to take care of Aurora in the woods until her sixteenth birthday in order to prevent the curse from even happening, posing as her aunts.
She was voiced by the late Verna Felton and is currently voiced by Barbara Dirickson since 2005.

In General[]
- They are peaceful and always tries to spread goodwill, as shown when they immediately accepted King Stefan's proposal of coming to Aurora's Christening.
- She is the strategist of the trio who is responsible for creating plans to protect Aurora and help the Kingdom when Maleficent causes trouble and being the one who led the fairies into enhancing magic into Prince Phillip's sword which led to Maleficent's death and allowing Phillip to save everyone in the Kingdom, including Aurora, her parents and King Hubert. Therefore, Flora passes the admirable standards.
Sleeping Beauty[]
- They give Aurora good blessings in her Christening, with Flora giving Aurora the gift of beauty.
- While Merryweather's blessing was interrupted by Maleficent's curse, Flora convinces Stefan that Merryweather still has the gift to soften the curse so it wouldn't kill Aurora, but instead it will put her to sleep until True Love’s Kiss.
- Flora, alongside Merryweather and Fauna took care of Aurora for 16 years as "Briar Rose", in the forest, so that she wouldn't fall victim to Maleficent’s curse.
- She also opposed King Stefan's poor decision to burn spinning wheels by calling it "silly fiddle faddle".
- She told Aurora not to talk to strangers, as they tried to prevent her from being cursed by Maleficent.
- They tried to make a good birthday party for Aurora in her sixteenth birthday, before she gets to know who she is.
- Flora and her sisters begin to feel sorry for themselves about their failure to save Aurora and stop Maleficent. Because of this, they decided to put all of the kingdom residents to sleep after the curse took effect, as to prevent them from dealing with the sadness and protecting them until they can find a way to reverse it.
- She learned from King Hubert that the same man Aurora had met in the woods was actually his son, Prince Phillip, who can be the only one who can save Aurora, their respective parents, and the whole kingdom from their slumber.
- They saved Philip after he was locked up in a dungeon by Maleficent.
- She turned the rocks, arrows and boiling toxic water into harmless objects like bubbles, flowers and a rainbow, which allows Phillip to escape from the castle.
- In the final battle, she and her sisters empowered Phillip's sword as to deal a killing blow to Maleficent, ending her and her reign of terror, as well as allowing Philip to wake up Aurora, her parents, King Hubert, and everyone else in the kingdom.

- She also delivers the speech to King Hubert for the royal conference.
- After leaving Hubert's castle, Flora berated Merryweather for giving Aurora the wand, even though Merryweather did feel ashame for her idea.
- She attends Aurora's banquet, along with Flora, Fauna, Prince Phillip, King Stefan, King Hubert, Queen Leah and Lord Duke.
What Prevents Her From Being Pure Good?[]
- Unlike Fauna, who is more peaceful, Flora is still prone to being somewhat bossy, selfish, and reckless that adds some drama in the film, as shown when her color duel over Aurora's gown with Merryweather caused Diablo to reveal their location to Maleficent and for leaving Aurora some privacy to sob, which gave Maleficent the opportunity to lure Aurora away and trick her into pricking her finger on the spinning wheel.
- Even though Flora felt ashamed for her reckless mistake of leaving Aurora alone, it still prevents her from being Pure Good, due to the fact that she still did not subvert her bossy and selfish traits, as stated above.
Trivia[]
- While Fauna was approved, Flora and Merryweather were originally rejected from NPG, due to the two being too jerkish until a further discussion has revealed that this claim was not quite true, making the other two fairies NPG.
- On top of that, they are also the first Disney Sidekicks to be Near Pure Good.
