Finn McMissile is the tritagonist of Pixar's 12th full-length animated feature film Cars 2.

He is a British secret agent whose mission it is to stop the Lemon cars from succeeding with their villainous scheme. His arch-nemesis is Professor Zündapp when the latter killed his partners Leland Turbo and Rod Redline.

He was voiced by Michael Caine.

What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Good?[]

He managed to infiltrate Professor Zündapp's hideout in an attempt to save Leland Turbo and discovered his secret weapon before escaping and faking his death.
He recruits whoever he can in order to succeed in his plans, even if it involves working with somebody like Mater.
After he finds out that Mater has the information due to Rod Redline secretly installing it inside him, he defends Mater when the Lemons attempt to get it off him and the two of them escape with Finn's pilot friend, Siddeley.
When Holley zaps Tomber after he tumbles during a chase, Finn scolds her for doing so.
Before Mater infiltrates the Lemons' meeting, Finn attempts to console him about his self doubt.
When he notices Grem and Acer using the EMP camera on the racers of the World Grand Prix, he attempts to take them down to save the racers before he is captured.
When he, Holley, and Mater are all captured by the Lemons, they manage to escape. He also goes to warn Mater about a bomb that had been planted on him, saving many innocents from getting blown up and allowing Mater to try and save McQueen's life by driving away from him.
He manages to capture Zündapp after he tries to escape and tries to get him to deactivate the bomb on Mater, but later lets Holley taser the Professor when he is no longer of any use.
He, Holley and Mater exposed Sir Miles Axlerod's true identity as the leader of the Lemons.
When Mater declines the offer Holley and Finn gave him to go on another mission, he respects his decision.
Overall, he is ultimately the one responsible for saving all of the cars who are in danger as he was the one behind foiling the Lemons' scheme, making him one of the most admirable character in the franchise.

What Prevents Him From Being Pure Good?[]

He can be fairly lethal at times such as when he killed two cars by crushing them with elevators, and when he killed many of the Lemons on the rig with a huge explosion. Although the damage and deaths he causes are completely in self-defense and to save everybody else as the Lemons are dangerous terrorists that tried to burn him, he did appear amused when Holley tasered Zündapp, telling her "she read his mind" when she did it. It should be noted that this was pure laser-guided karma putting it lightly, as the Lemons and Zündapp killed various people for petty reasons.
