Father Gregor: How... do you know his name?
Skid: We brought him here, but then he escaped.
Pump: He didn't.
Skid: What?
Father Gregor: You two... brought a demon to this realm... You have drowned this town in sin! And think it's a game!?
~ Father Gregor realising that Skid and Pump were the ones responsible for summoning Moloch, much to his horror.
The lord, The Son, The Devine soul and The Sacred sky, commands you to leave this realm and go back to the cold pits where you belong, Moloch! They command you to leave. Leave! And never come back!
~ Father Gregor banishing Moloch back to hell and putting an end to his threat.

Father Gregor Raguel is a supporting protagonist in the Spooky Month webseries by Sr. Pelo, serving as a minor character in the fifth episode Tender Treats, and the deuteragonist of the sixth episode Hollow Sorrows.

He is the strict but kind-hearted priest of the town who tries to help Skid and Pump become more obedient and well-behaved children. However, with Moloch's resurfacing Father Gregor is forced to try and stop the demon's rampage, all while losing his patience with the duo's recklessness.

He is voiced by P.M. Seymour, who also voices Mort Vivifico and Mr. Wonder in the same series.

His Good Ranking[]

What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Good?[]

  • In his first scene in Spooky Month 6, he assures Dexter’s grieving and devastated mother, Michelle, that he will hold Dexter in his prayers.
  • When first meeting Skid and Pump, while initially acting strict and stern towards them, denying them access to the Church due to them wearing Halloween costumes due to considering Halloween a Satanic Holiday, he still politely introduces himself to them and is overall respectful and patient with Skid and Pump, asking where their parents are and showing understanding and sympathy towards Skid when he puts together that Skid lost his father.
  • After seeing Skid and Pump want to enter the Church and don’t have proper guidance and are unattended, with Pump revealing that his parents aren’t with him because they work a lot and Skid revealing his parents aren’t with him due to Lila being unwell and stressed and his father presumably being deceased, Father Gregor decides to act as a moral guide for Skid and Pump, following them around their venture into town to try and help them be not only more well-behaved and better people, but also more cautious, safe, and healthy, assuring that their parents would be proud of them and giving them a warm smile:
    • To start off, Father Gregor tells Skid and Pump if they have done mischief they apologize, where Father Gregor accompanies Skid and Pump going around the town to apologize and make amends with everyone they previously wronged; the costumed Happy Fella mascot for trashing up and burning the Happy Fella dolls the at store he worked at, Kevin for never paying for the candy they ate by having Skid and Pump giving him the money to pay for it and apologizing to him, Ignacio for annoying him, to the Hatzgang because Skid and Pump thought they annoyed them (although Ross and Robert kindly assured Skid and Pump they did nothing wrong), and presumably Patty for entering the hospital she worked at without permission and bothering her.
      • When Skid and Pump start running to do so, Father Gregor tells them to walk normally so that they would not hurt themselves.
        • He does this again later, breaking out of the Spooky Dance to remind Skid and Pump to safely walk instead of jumping.
    • When Skid and Pump began accusing and inquiring if the Happy Fella mascot was going to stab the girl he was flirting with earlier, Father Gregor told Skid and Pump it was wrong to accuse someone like that, and then politely asked how Skid and Pump wronged him so they could make amends.
    • He stopped Skid and Pump from going with Frank, asserting the important message that they shouldn’t trust strangers and there will be a time when they might not come back from a ride with Frank, telling them their parents would be devastated if that happened, while true Frank is actually a friend of Skid and Pump who regularly drives them to places, the lesson Father Gregor was trying to implement on them of not trusting strangers was a very good and useful lesson for Skid and Pump to learn.
    • He asserts to Skid and Pump that they should be nice to everyone, even if they are mean to them.
    • When he found out that Skid and Pump entered the hospital earlier without permission, he told them that they should always have a person's permission to enter any place.
    • Although this was more done out of his strict religious beliefs, him forbidding Skid and Pump from accepting free candy from Radford is still (to an extent) understandable and can be a good lesson for the two given how candy itself is generally not healthy but also because Skid and Pump had already had candy that life and came to the candy store to apologize to Kevin for never paying for the candy he gives them, where if they accepted the free candy from Radford, that important lesson would have likely been lost.
    • Father Gregor himself confirms that he not only became determined to guide Skid and Pump into becoming better and more well-behaved people so they could be seen as good in God’s eyes but also for the sake of Lila and Pump’s parents, so they wouldn’t need to deal with and become frustrated over Skid and Pump’s reckless. mischievousness despite not personally knowing them, showing his personal willingness to help others even if he’s just heard of them, among Father Gregor also just wanting to help Skid and Pump be better people for their sakes, to be good for their parents, and to keep themselves safe and healthy, which is evident by how he decides to be guidance for Skid and Pump once he realizes they lack the proper guidance from their parents, showing he cares about them.
    • Father Gregor also uses the love Skid and Pump have for their parents and the desire they have for them to be proud to motivate them into wanting to become better and more well-behaved people for their sakes and into taking care of themselves so their parents wouldn’t be devastated if something happened to them like in the situation with Frank.
    • The lessons and guidance Father Gregor was trying to input into Skid and Pump for this did seem to make an impact on them during the episode at least given how Skid and Pump willingly came to the different people they wronged to make amends to adhere to Father Gregor’s lesson of making amends to those they have done mischief to, while granted it seems they were doing it just because and so their parents would be proud of them and in the situation with Ignacio were a bit forceful in trying to earn his forgiveness, there was genuineness detected in some of Skid and Pump’s apologies, with them even willingly paying Kevin the money they owe him for all the candy they accepted despite not specifically needing to in order to make amends, as well as genuinely being forgiving and nice to Roy despite him being rude and threatening towards them, following Father Gregor’s lesson to be nice to everyone even when they are mean to them, at the end of Hollow Sorrows, Skid confides to Lila that he doesn’t want to be a problem for her, causing the two to tearfully hug, implying that Skid might actually become better in the future.
    • Even when chasing Moloch, when Skid steals a lollipop from Lucky (who was run over by Moloch), Father Gregor tells them to leave it alone both due to it being stolen from a random kid and how it was no time for sweets given the seriousness of the situation, the same could be said for when Moloch possessing Kevin threw dozens of “free candy” for Skid and Pump and Father Gregor yelled them to stop it.
  • He gives Kevin a small container of holy water to help them, which indirectly ends up saving Radford given how Moloch possessed Kevil and would have most likely attacked and killed Radford if it hadn’t been for him using the holy water Father Gregor given him to weaken Moloch in Kevin’s body. It’s also implied it was Father Gregor giving Kevin holy water and Radford splashing it around the candy store causing Kevin to get good luck and gain a lot of customers.
  • When he sees Frank offering Skid and Pump a ride, he stops them due to being suspicious of Frank and knowing he could kidnap Skid and Pump, with Father Gregor promising to report Frank to the police, while true Frank is actually a friend of Skid and Pump who often does actually safely drive them to places, given the red flags of the situation Father Gregor was very justified in reacting the way he did towards Frank, especially considering that even if Frank wouldn’t have kidnapped Skid and Pump like he worried he would have, Frank is still in general a serial child kidnapper who randomly kidnaps children and possibly sells them for ransom, meaning that if Father Gregor had reported Frank to the police as he promised to if he hadn’t been kidnapped by the cult first, he would have ended Frank’s villainy and would have likely saved several children in the town from being kidnapped by Frank. During his encounter with Frank, he also teaches Skid and Pump not to trust strangers, saying that one time if they trusted a stranger and something happened to them, their parents would be devastated.
  • When Ignacio threatens Skid and Pump, he calls him out for acting like this and says he should be ashamed of himself.
  • He saves Skid and Pump from being hit by Rick by pulling them out of harm's way.
  • He acted affable and polluted towards Mayor Evermore during their presumed conversation, wishing “The Lord be with him” when they departed.
  • He shows concern and sympathy towards Skid and Pump when they got beat up by Roy.
  • When he sees that Patty is possessed by Moloch, he gives Skid and Pump to John and Jack (the sheriff and deputy of the town) to protect Skid and Pump while he returns to the hospital to exorcise Moloch.
    • He also shows shock when he thinks Skid and Pump lied to John and Jack to go to him, knowing it is wrong to lie to the authorities.
  • While he does scold Skid and Pump for following him into the hospital, it was only for their safety since it was dangerous to be in there with him due to exorcising Moloch a demon who is not only dangerous, manipulative, and sadistic, but also has a vendetta against Skid and Pump, wishing to kill them as revenge for unintentionally leaving him to rot in Skid’s attic for 2 years.
  • He exorcises Moloch from Patty’s body, saving her from his possession, and sitting her up when she falls to the ground out of exhaustion.
  • During his exorcism of Moloch from Patty’s body, Father Gregor tries his best to protect the kids from Moloch, forbidding them from talking to Moloch due to knowing he would manipulate them, and wanting them to stay out of the dangerous situation, throwing holy water when Moloch possessing Patty wanted to give Skid and Pump his “forgiveness” (Though it's obvious he wanted to harm and/or kill them), using his cross to keep him away from Skid and Pump, and again throwing holy water at Moloch in Patty’s body lunged at Skid and Pump to kill them, warning Skid and Pump to stay away from Moloch when he is exorcised from Patty’s body, refusing to hand them over to the demon even when Moloch disguises himself as Dexter and his mother in an attempt to manipulate Father Gregor into doing so, Father Gregor refused to give Skid and Pump to him and resisted of the illusions and tricks.
  • During his pursuit of Moloch to permanently exorcise him from the Mortal Realm, he exorcised Moloch from the body of several people he possessed, saving them from his possession:
    • Roy, who is a child (despite being a jerk to Skid and Pump, even beating them up earier).
    • Indirectly Kevin, given how Father Gregor was the one who gave Radford the holy water he splashed on Kevin when he was possessed by Moloch, exorcising the latter from the former’s body, not to mention it was absolutely clear that if that hadn’t happened, Father Gregor would have exorcised Moloch from Kevin’s body himself.
    • Skid and Pump, who are two children who viewed Moloch as their friend whom the demon manipulated into letting him inside their bodies, what makes Father Gregor saving them even more admirable is that its heavily implied Moloch would have dammed Skid and Pump’s souls to Hell or a fate just as horrific if Father Gregor hadn’t saved them, as evident by how Moloch said that Skid and Pump’s “salvation is futile” and that they “Belong in his eternal” flame.
  • He successfully banishes Moloch back to Hell and ends his evil once and for all.
  • He calls out Lila for her irresponsible and negligent parenting and how it has endangered Skid’s safety due to him (and by further extent, his best friend Pump) being un-attended, with Father Gregor making an incredibly valid point given how throughout most of the series Skid and Pump are unattended, with Lila doing her own thing and for most of the time not even knowing where Skid is, which often leads to them being threatened by bullies, a podophile, and killers, he also doesn't insult Lila, not calling her a bad or unloving mother, just pointing out her flawed parenting, likely just wanting her to improve on it for her and Skid’s sake. While granted Lila this time wasn’t as neglectful, actually leaving them at Pump’s house under the care of this sister, Suzie, meaning Father Gregor may have been a bit unfair to her, his reaction was still completely understandable given what had happened, with Skid being reckless and unattended, his mother coming home drunk and not even knowing where he is, not to mention what Father Gregor called Lila out for was from a lie, with a lot of what he said being true about her for most of the time, even this time she wasn’t a completely responsible parent given how she didn’t call Skid to check on him to make sure he is safe or to know where he is and just put them under the care of Suzie, who is also a kid herself, even if she is slightly older than Skid and her brother Pump.
    • Father Gregor also still shows sympathy to Lila for being a widow and to Skid for his mother’s neglect.
    • It's implied that it was him calling her out for her flawed parenting, as well as him trying to teach Skid to be better so Lila would be proud of him, caused them to tearfully reconcile at the end of Hollow Sorrows when Skid went to Lila telling her he didn’t want to be a problem for her, implying that because of Father Gregor’s impact on them, they will improve themselves.

What Prevents Him From Being Pure Good?[]

  • While most of the time his strict and disciplined religious moments aren’t a corrupting factor, he does have some moments where he goes a bit too far and can be a bit harsh because of his strong religiousness, including his religious disdain for Halloween:
    • One of his most corrupting moments occurred in his debut in Tender Treats, where he remorselessly tried to throw a bucket of boiling water at Skid and Pump just because they were trying to trick or treat at the Church, only to miss and severely injure a nearby trick-or-treater. And even then, he yells at the trick or treaters to go away while calling them “devil-worshiping fiends”, even if Father Gregor views Halloween as an unholy holiday due to his religious beliefs, he still goes too far and went overkill. Even though this is minor due to this being one of the few times Gregor takes his religious strictness so far, where he doesn’t have such a moment again, he still doesn't show ant remorse for this, and while he doesn't act as harsh about it in Hollow Sorrows, he still keeps his distate for Halloween as evident by how he refused to let Skid and Pump in the church just because of their costumes, meaning this corrupting quality hasn’t been completely subverted.
    • He forbad Skid and Pump from accepting the candy that Radford offered to pay for, preaching that candy is a poison for their body and that, according to him, is the starting machine of gluttony, although granted as said there were several reasons this was understandable given how overeating candy is unhealthy, with Skid and Pump already getting candy that night, and them accepting the free candy would have likely subverted the lesson of how they are supposed to pay for the candy they took, with Father Gregor seeming to have also done this for Skid and Pump’s health and to put them on the right path, Father Gregor seemed to have done this due to his strict religious belief, with his statement implying that he is against eating candy in general rather than eating it in moderated portions just because his beliefs are against it, which is a bit too harsh.
  • He also does have a somewhat hypocritical moment where despite telling Skid and Pump they should always have the permission of someone to enter any place, yet allowed them to enter a restricted hospital area without permission, with Father Gregor doing this again later to exorcise Moloch, ignoring Mort Vivico, a doctor who works at the hospital’s calling him out that he’s in a restricted area that only personnel are allowed to be in, although this is not too preventing and somewhat minor given how it was likely Father Gregor only allowed himself and Skid and Pump to enter the hospital’s restricted area the first time to make amends with Patty for entering the hospital without and bothering her earlier, with Father Gregor apologizing to Mort Vivico on their way out after realizing Patty was possessed by Moloch, and while granted Father Gregor should have asked for personnel authorization to enter the Hospital’s restricted area, he only entered again to exorcise Moloch and save Patty from his possession, where Mort likely wouldn’t have believed Father Gregor if he told him about Patty was possessed by a demon and he needed to exorcise her.
