Elliot is the deuteragonist of the Open Season franchise, serving as the deuteragonist of Open Season, the main protagonist of Open Season 2, the deuteragonist of Open Season 3, and the main protagonist of Open Season: Scared Silly.

In the first film, he is voiced by Ashton Kutcher. In the second film, he is voiced by Joel McHale. In the third film, he is voiced by Maddie Taylor, who also voices Ian and Reilly in the second and third film. In the fourth film, he is voiced by Will Townsend.

What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Good?

• He befriended Boog, when the latter helped free him from Shaw.
• He tried to help Boog get back to Timberline, even though he didn't know the way.
• He felt remorse for lying to Boog about knowing the way back to Timberline and admitted that he only wanted to be friends with him.
• He reconciled with Boog as he helps him defeat the Hunters.
• He helped the forest animals stop the Hunters.
• He sacrificed himself to save Boog from being shot by Shaw by launching himself to take the rifle's shot with only his antler being shot.
• He helped defeated the Hunters and Shaw, along with Boog.
• He went to rescue Mr. Weenie.

What Prevents Him From Being Pure Good?

• He tends to be quite mischievous many times. However, he does learn from his mistakes, making this a minor prevention.
• He does have some minor moments in showcasing incompetence, prior to Elliot's stupidity.
• He has shown many jerkish moments, which prevents him from being Pure Good. He was also responsible for Boog getting separated from Timberline and from his loving owner, Ranger Beth in the first film and doesn't show remorse for this for the rest of the movie until later on when he felt remorse for lying about knowing the way back to Timberline.

Trivia

• He, and Boog are the only heroes from Open Season to be Near Pure Good.
