Dr. Linda McKay is the protagonist of the movie 2000 Hollow Man. She is a scientist, a colleague of Sebastian Caine and his former lover, and now the girlfriend of Dr. Matthew Kensington.

She is played by Elisabeth Shue.

What Makes Her Close to Being Pure Good?[]

As a scientist, she was always very nice to her colleagues, for which they respected her.
Although she broke up with Sebastian Kane, it was justified because she no longer loved him, and he was just having fun with her. And even after that, she was still nice to Sebastian, despite his jerky behavior.
She always sympathized with the experimental animals, and tried to ensure that they survived the experiments.
She and her colleagues saved an experimental gorilla when she almost died during the experiment.
She and Matt were outraged when Sebastian lied to the committee about his successful experiments.
She loved Matt very much, and was ready to do anything for him.
Although Sebastian, being invisible, was even more annoying and jerkish, she was still reserved towards him and treated him nicely.
She and her colleagues saved Sebastian when he almost died during a failed experiment to return him to his visible form.
She and her colleagues made a latex mask and gloves for Sebastian so that they could see him.
She and her colleagues tried to bring Sebastian back to his former self, though to no avail. She even often reassured him about it.
Although she and her colleagues planned to kill Sebastian, it was even more than justified, since he had already completely lost his mind and turned into an insane maniac, ready to kill and rape people.
She tried to save her colleagues when they were mortally wounded by Caine.
She saved herself and Matt when they were locked in the refrigerator by Sebastian, and also stopped Matt's bleeding when he was severely injured by Sebastian.
In the end, she killed Sebastian, thereby preventing his numerous brutal murders and rapes. She also ended up with Matt as the only surviving lab scientists.

What Prevents Her From Being Pure Good?[]

She showed wrathful and lethality towards Sebastian when she almost burned him alive with a flamethrower. Although Sebastian certainly deserved it, she still had a way to deal with him faster with a pistol with a sleeping dart, but she chose a more violent way to deal with him.
