Otto Octavius, also known as Doc Ock, is a recurring character in the 2017 animated series Marvel's Spider-Man.
He was voiced by Scott Menville, who also voiced Robin in the 2003 Teen Titans Series and by Robbie Daymond while in Spider-Man's body.

What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Good?[]
Season 1[]
- He joined Horizon Labs in order to make innovations that benefit humanity.
- During the Stark Expo, he helped capture the escaped Venom Symbiote.
- After his accident fused him with his arms, and gaining motivation from Peter Parker, he chose to become a hero and make the best of his situation.
- He arrived just in time to save Spider-Man from the Crimson Dynamo and helped in capturing her, while also helping Spidey improve his tracker.
- Upon spotting a connection between Peter Parker and Spider-Man due to the tracker, he chose to not make it public• He continued to help Peter and Miles catch several criminals throughout the city.
- When the Lizard takes on a giant form and rampages throughout the city, he created a serum that could cure him and though it failed at first, it provided Peter with the right elements to make a cure.
- When the Jackal has several Rhino mutates attack Oz Academy, he helps defeat them and keep others safe.
- He refused to allow Norman to steal his arm technology, though Norman used his contract against him.
Season 2[]
- He provides Max Modell with the necessary formula to make his neuro cortex work.
- After being hit with all of Peter Parker's memories about Uncle Ben and his lessons in responsibility he begins to question his villainy and abandons his plans in order to save a passerby's family.
- He tries to reason with Silver Sable to abandon the plan he hired her into, claiming he (Doc Ock) had changed his mind.
- He disables his own Octobots when Sable uses them against him.
- He saves hundreds of innocent civilians in a park when Sable tried to detonate several bombs. He even saves a child from the one bomb he couldn't defuse and takes the blow.
- He bows to become a "Superior Spider-Man" to honor Uncle Ben's teachings to Peter.
- He confronts and defeats Hammerhead.
- He stops Sand-Girl when she tries to rise again through the Mafia.
- He helps the Avengers defeat M.O.D.O.K. and AIM.
- At Midtown High, he helps Flash Thompson study and aids Anna Maria's efforts to boost Midtown's reputation.
- He protects the school from Cloak and Dagger's assault.
- He protects his friends from Venom and ultimately gives Peter back his body knowing he failed as a Superior Spider-Man and that Peter was better for the job, despite knowing his consciousness would likely be erased.
- After awakening from his coma he fully reforms and becomes Spider-Man's partner, providing him with Spider-Bots to monitor the city and the Spider's Den as a base of operations.
- He pays respects at Uncle Ben's grave.
- He tries to warn Ghost-Spider and Spider-Girl of the upcoming Goblin War though they dismiss him due to his past villainy.
- He warns Spider-Man that Gwen and Anya are under attack from a Goblin Gang.
- He tries to help Spider-Man form a plan to stop the Goblin King.
- He uses the Spider bots to help in the fight against the Goblin King.
- He sacrifices himself to defeat Toomes and his Goblin Mech, despite being fully aware he was going to die, saving not only the entirety of New York City but also saving Peter as he was originally going to be the sacrifice but Otto stopped him.
- In his final moments he makes amends with Peter over their past battles.
Season 3[]
- Posthumously, he left a video talking about all the good deeds Max Modell did which Peter used to try to convince the board to keep him as principal.
What Prevents Him from Being Pure Good?[]
- He has several jerkish moments such as getting angry at Spidey and accusing him of sabotaging his Lizard cure, or snapping at Max Modell for not using his prefered methods.
- He is very arrogant as he constantly belittles those around him believing himself to be the most intelligent and everyone else to not be worth his time. He also constantly reminds people of his six doctorates.
Trivia[]
- He is currently the only version of Doc Ock to be Near Pure Good.
- He and Spider-Man are the only NPGs from the 2017 animated series.
