NOTE: This is only going over Cynthia's Pokémon Platinum and anime variants, as her Diamond and Pearl counterparts were not approved as Near Pure Good. |
“ | Together, you and your Pokémon overcame all the challenges you faced, however difficult. It means that you've triumphed over any personal weaknesses, too. The power you learned... I can feel it emanating from you. But that's enough talk. Let's get on with why you're here. As the Pokémon League Champion, I accept your challenge! | „ |

Her Good Ranking[]
What Makes Her Close to Being Pure Good?[]
Pokémon Platinum[]
- She does various things to help the player on their journey, such as giving them the HM Cut, giving a Togepi egg, and giving them a Secret Potion to get past Psyduck.
- She helped Professor Rowan complete the Pokédex so he could get more information on Pokémon.
- She stops Team Galactic from destroying and recreating the universe alongside the player.
Pokémon Anime[]
- She assists the heroes in stopping Team Galactic from stealing the Lustrous Orb.
- She assists the heroes in protecting the Lake Guardians and stopping Team Galactic from destroying and recreating the universe.
- She cures and helps take care of Meloetta when she finds it injured.
- She assists the heroes in stopping Team Rocket's Operation Tempest plan.
- She helps stop Team Galactic from opening another Space-Time Gate.
What Prevents Her From Being Pure Good?[]
- While she has no corrupting factors, in both Pokémon Platinum and the anime, she fails the overall admirable standard. In the games, she fails the admirable standard due to not getting involved in stopping Team Galactic until Spear Pillar, while Lucas/Dawn stopped them much more, and she also fails the admirable standard to various other protagonists such as Brenden/May, Calem/Serena and Elio/Selene. In the anime, she fails the admirable standard to Dawn and especially Ash Ketchum, due to mostly just assisting them in stopping villains rather than doing it herself, and the latter has saved the universe on more occasions and generally does far more heroism.
Trivia[]
- While her Platinum and anime variants count as Near Pure Good due to saving the universe, her Diamond and Pearl variants, as well as their remakes, Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, cannot count due to the complete absence of trying to save the universe. Without that act she just comes off as bog standard.
