Crusch Karsten is a major character in the Japanese dark fantasy franchise Re:Zero - Starting Life in Another World. She appears occasionally in the main 2014 light novel series, as well as its anime television series & manga adaptations of the same name.
Crusch Karsten was the daughter of the nobleman Meckart Karsten and his late wife Helena.

What Makes Her Close to Being Pure Good?[]
- She is shown to be loyal honourable, capable, hardworking and honest to everyone.
- Her reason for becoming the ruler of Lusignia is to create a nation which did not require the aid of a greater being to survive, instead able to defend itself through its own military power and national standing. She did this because she believed Lugnica are able to stand up for themselves and rule for their own.
- She has strong relationship with Ferris and Willhelm.
- She treats Emilia as a good friend causing Emilia to say that she is a warm-hearted person.
- She Drive the Great Rabbit from the Karsten Lands.
- She, Rem, Wilhelm and Subaru defeated the white whale.
What Prevents Her From Being Pure Good?[]
- She has been shown to be lethal towards her enemies.
- In the Episode 16/Volume 6, Crusch refused to help Subaru and Emilia's campaign to save the latter and protect the people in the Roswaal domain. Although this is understandable, considering the political issues and also Subaru's attitude and that he had no authenticity in what he said, in this scene it feels more sympathy towards him, since he wanted to protect the people from the Witch Cult and prevent Emilia from dying. Also, Subaru knelt begging Crusch but she refused anyway, besides, Crusch looked uncaring to the situation, she even added fuel to the fire by saying degrading words to Subaru and even to Emilia, also the narration of the light novel mentioned that Crusch didn't show regret for what was happening.
