~ Crash Bandicoot's recurring catchphrase. |
Crash Bandicoot is the titular main protagonist of the Crash Bandicoot franchise. He was evolved into an anthropomorphic creature by Dr. Neo Cortex, who expected him to lead his army to world domination, only for Crash to escape and become a constant nuisance to his creator.
He was voiced by the late Brendan O'Brien in the original game, Jess Harnell since Crash Tag Team Racing, and many other actors in various games.
His Good Ranking[]
What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Good?[]
- After escaping Cortex, he fought many of his henchmen and saved Tawna from his clutches.
- When Cortex told him that he needed Power Crystals to save the Earth from destruction, he helped him get them, unaware that the doctor was lying to him.
- He defeated Neo Cortex, preventing him from brainwashing everyone on Earth, and helped N. Brio destroy his space station.
- He defeated N. Tropy, Cortex, and Uka Uka, stopping them from getting Power Crystals in other time periods.
- He defeated Crunch Bandicoot and the Elementals, accepting the former into his family once he was broken free from Cortex's control.
- He helped Coco restore the Earth to its original size.
- He freed his friends and Fake Crash from N. Trance's brainwashing and defeated both him and Nefarious Tropy.
- He competed against the galaxy's greatest racers, including Emperor Velo, to save the Earth from destruction.
- Despite everything Cortex had done in the past, he willingly teamed up with him and his niece Nina to stop the Evil Twins from destroying the world, saving his adversary's life a few times over the course of their journey.
- Even after Cortex paralyzes him, Crash still helps Ernest by eliminating the worms from his crop.
- Although many times throughout the game Crash can physically harm Cortex, it is usually necessary on some occasions (such as escaping the Anti Drones' bulldozer), and Cortex deserves it for everything he has done (such as being forced by Crash to headbutt the worms after paralyzing Ernest to obtain his crystal), and any unnecessary abuse is just a gameplay option
- He saved both his friends from getting killed by Cortex and Von Clutch from dying, although the latter was accidental.
- He defeated Nina Cortex, rescued his sister, and helped her destroy the Doominator before it could do grave damage to Wumpa Island.
- He freed both Coco and Crunch from the NVs' mind control.
- He freed Uka Uka from the torment Cortex put him through, and while he helped the evil spirit restore his powers by reclaiming his Voodoo Bones, it was necessary to defeat Neo.
- He and Aku Aku confronted Cortex on board his space station and defeated him once more.
- During the Great Synchronization, he helped the Skylanders defeat Fake Crash.
- Despite only conversing in gibberish, he still has a distinct personality.
What Prevents Him From Being Pure Good?[]
- While his failed brainwashing doesn't give him moral agency issues, as he understands what's wrong and right and usually makes the right choice, he does make reckless choices from time to time, such as leaving Emperor Velo in power despite him being a cruel and unstable person.
- He is somewhat lethal, as in Tag Team Racing, he made a cow fall into lava by walking on its back, which was done on accident, but without remorse, and he defeated Cortex by throwing a chicken into his vehicle's turbine, although one can argue it was necessary to save his friends, while in Mind Over Mutant, he violently beat Crunch up after freeing him from mind control, despite it being obvious that he wasn't a threat anymore.
- While not often, he sometimes acts like a jerk, which includes him hurting at least one Park Drone, dismissing Von Clutch's condition after having accidentally knocked him out, and kicking Cortex over the edge to use him as a snowboard.
