Conner McKnight is the main protagonist of Power Rangers Dino Thunder.
He was a soccer player at Reefside High School that later became the Red Dino Ranger, leading the Dino Rangers against Mesogog and his army.

What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Good?[]
- Despite initially showing reluctance, Conner was willing to become a Power Ranger to stop Zeltrax's attack on Reefside.
- When his dreams of being a professional soccer player conflicted with his duties as a Ranger, Conner decided to put said duties first after saving a little girl.
- As the leader of the Dino Rangers, Conner led his team on multiple fights against Mesogog and his army, protecting Reefside and the world from multiple threats.
- He left in the middle of one of his soccer games to go check on Trent, who wasn't looking well.
- Despite being distrustful of Trent after finding out that he was the White Ranger, he eventually came around to see him as a valuable member of the team.
- After losing his powers to the White Terrorsaurus, Conner still went to fight the monster to protect his city.
- Both his Super Dino Mode and the Triassic Battlizer were unlocked out of Conner's sheer determination and passion to stop his enemies and protect the innocent.
- Helped Krista plant a new tree when the one she had been trying to protect was destroyed and saved her after she was kidnapped by Zeltrax.
- He was perfectly content with losing his powers after stopping Mesogog.
- Overall, despite starting out as a jerkish, egotistical and sexist jock, Conner grew out of this and became a more genuine and compassionate person thanks to his career as a Ranger.
- After finishing high school, Conner tried to start a soccer program for kids, giving them a safe space to go after school.
- After briefly traveling to the future, he decided to go help the S.P.D. Rangers despite the risk of being killed in said time and altering the timeline. He even later offered to stay in the future to help the team fight Emperor Gruumm.
- Conner has continued to use his restored powers to help fellow Rangers on multiple occasions.
What Prevents Him From Being Pure Good?[]
- He briefly considered lethally putting down the Ninja Storm Rangers, knowing that said team probably turned evil against their will.
- Despite having grown, Conner can still be pretty stubborn and arrogant.
