Cobra Grande is one of the two overarching protagonists (alongside Honorato) of the Graphic MSP Tom Tom: White Night.

A powerful spirit of nature on Brazillian lands taking the form of a gigantic snake, he lives in the great rivers of the Amazon. While not often interacting with the humans living there, he has to in order to fight a threat in the form of the White Night: an unnatural army of monsters heelbent on destroying the tribes of Brazil one by one.

He is based on the mythological creature of the same name.

What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Good?

• Nothing implies he shares the morally grey/anti-heroic character and actions of his mythological counterpart.
• When Tom Tom is about to be killed by his zombified friend, Cobra Grande non-lethally swallows him to save his life.
• Separating his spirit and body in order to preserve the latter while the former can talk with his son, Honorato, Cobra Grande allows him to grant Tom Tom the powers needed to fight the White Night.
• When Tom Tom tricks the White Nights into a corner and has the animals bring them all down a cliff, Cobra Grande appears and swallows all of them, allowing those of Tom Tom's tribe to be brought back to life properly, and all those others who were transformed too long ago to have their bodies saved to move on peacefully.
