Clumsy Smurf is one of the titular main protagonists of the The Smurfs duology of live action films, being the main protagonist of The Smurfs and one of the major supporting characters of The Smurfs 2. He, as the name indicates, a Clumsy Smurf from Smurf Village, and wishes to be seen as more important than he actually is seen, both by Papa Smurf and by the other Smurfs. However, when he accidentally gets himself, Papa, Smurfette and some of his friends, he tries to help fix his mistake by defeating the evil sorcerer, Gargamel, who wants to kidnap Smurfs and extract their "blue essence".

He was voiced by the late Anton Yelchin.

His Good Ranking[]

What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Good?[]

  • Despite being clearly clumsy and it sometimes making problems, such as kickstarting the plot of the first movie, Clumsy not only always tries to correct his mistakes, but never does anything bad intentionally.
  • He wishes to help Papa Smurf and the other Smurfs in Smurf Village, despite them not wanting him to as he is very clumsy.
  • He tries to help his friends flee from Gargamel, despite that leading them to the cave that has the portal to the human world.
  • He is very nice to Grace Winslow.
  • He tries to help the other Smurfs collect information about the Blue Moon and find a "star-gazer" (a telescope) so he can get a way to reopen the portal and go back to the Smurf World.
  • While he accidentally messed up Patrick's poster, making the Moon blue, the producer actually liked it.
  • Despite the other Smurf's complaints, he still goes and tries and save Papa Smurf.
  • As the Smurfs battled Gargamel, Clumsy jumped and caught his wand in the air, using its magic to save Smurfkind from him and blasting him away.
  • When Smurfette was kidnapped by Gargamel, he and other Smurfs went to the human world save her.
  • He accepts Hackus and Vexy's redemption.

What Prevents Him From Being Pure Good?[]

  • Even if it isn't his goal, he still constantly causes problems with his clumsiness, most notably kickstarting the conflict of the first movie or even nearly choaking Hefty with the crystals and even being partially responsable for near-death experiences.

Trivia[]

  • He is one of two characters in The Smurfs franchise, alongside Papa Smurf to be Near Pure Good.
