You dangerous, mute lunatic.
~ GLaDOS telling Chell how much of a threat she is
Fatty fatty no-parents.
~ Wheatley mocking Chell for performing horribly during a test

Chell is the main protagonist of the Portal video game franchise.

She is an Aperture Science Test Subject, who was being tested inside the same laboratory, and was also forced to stop the evil AI GLaDOS and Wheatley.

She was voiced by Mary Kae Irvin in the first game, but had no voice actor in Portal 2. She was modelled after Alésia Glidewell.

Her Good Ranking[]

What Makes Her Close to Being Pure Good?[]

In General[]

  • It is known that she is a pretty brave girl who never gives up, even despite many mistakes.
  • Although Wheatley and GLaDOS interact with her, she still seems to understand what is good and what is bad, and chooses the good to stop them.
  • Although GLaDOS often called her cruel and unloved, there is no confirmation of these words.

Portal (2007)[]

  • Scientist Doug Rattman saw her courage and determination, and therefore decided that she would be the one to defeat the evil AI GLaDOS.
  • Although AI often insulted her, she mostly didn't react to it.
  • In the end, she fought GLaDOS, and defeated it, thus preventing this villainous plans.

Portal 2[]

  • She teamed up with Wheatley to confront GLaDOS again and prevent this villainous plan.
  • She defeated Wheatley by sending it to space.
  • In the end, even GLaDOS was sincerely grateful to her, and respected her, and even said that she was like a friend to her now.

What Prevents Her From Being Pure Good?[]

  • Although she performs many heroic deeds, she still has too few characteristics for PG, as she does not speak or express emotions at all throughout the games, and all that is known about her is that she is very brave and heroic.

Trivia[]

  • Its implied that she can actually speak, but chooses not to.
