Chase McCain is the main protagonist of LEGO City Undercover video game series. He is a detective at LEGO City Police Department, well-known for his role in defeating many notorious criminals, most notably Rex Fury.

What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Good?[]
The Chase Begins[]
- He helped people who fell victim to the Knuckles Gang's antics and arrested the gang leader, preventing him from taking over Cherry Tree Hills.
- He saved Warden Fielding and returned the Albatross Island under the police control.
- He saved the foreman from getting dropped to his death and helped him with the construction of the Auburn Bay Bridge.
- He defeated Smokey Fuentes and his gang.
- He saved Mr. and Mrs. Hayes and defeated von Krunchman.
- He defeated Flash Johnson, freeing the Kowalski family and Apollo Island from the crooks.
- He stopped Carl Walnuts from destroying the Bluebell Woods and some neighbouring locations, arresting him.
- He saved people who ended up trapped due to Rex Fury's bombings.
- He stopped Rex Fury from robbing a bank and defeated him in a fight, buying Dunby time to arrest him.
- While he revealed Natalia's identity to the public and thus put her in danger, he did it on accident and was very remorseful for it.
LEGO City Undercover[]
- He returned to LEGO City to stop Rex Fury once again.
- While he was slightly arrogant about his achievements in the prequel, by the time of Undercover he let go of it. While he's still proud of his actions, he doesn't rub them in others' faces and even acknowledges that he is an ordinary cop and part of a team.
- He saved a crook from falling to his death and complimented him on being well-informed.
- He explored Rex's cell and found a possible clue to the background of his escape.
- He saved Frank Honey from Chang Chuang's henchmen.
- He went undercover to eventually infiltrate Rex's gang and arrest him.
- While he was angry at Natalia for putting herself in danger and even called her a "stubborn mule", one can understand him, as she acted needlessly reckless, so it's a heating-up moment rather than Chase deliberately insulting her.
- He collected evidence of Chang's crimes and arrested many of his gang members.
- He saved Forrest Blackwell from thugs who tried to kidnap him. While it only caused more trouble due to Blackwell being the true mastermind behind the crime wave, Chase didn't know he was evil at that point.
- He saved Natalia from Chang Chuang, and later from Blackwell's sentinels, and helped her hide in Ellie's house.
- He saved Vinnie Pappalardo who was locked up in the freezer by Rex's henchmen.
- He saved Henrik Kowalski from Fury and Blackwell.
- After learning of Forrest's plans, he warned Ellie that the Blackwell Tower was actually a rocket so that the police could evacuate the citizens around it.
- He put up a force-field around the rocket to prevent its exhaust flames from killing anyone.
- He pursued Rex and Forrest to the Moon and set their rocket on a return course.
- He defeated Rex Fury in a decisive battle, although he almost escaped again.
- He reached the command module and activated the parachutes, saving everyone inside, including Natalia.
- When Dunby tried to make up for his past actions and offered Chase to arrest Rex, he declined the offer, letting Dunby do it a second time.
What Prevents Him From Being Pure Good?[]
- He acts like a jerk at times, which includes him carelessly throwing the crook's hands back to him, locking Warden Stonewall in the bathroom and laughing about it, and breaking other people's items when they block his way instead of just asking to move them.
- He also has a few moments of acting lethal:
- He sometimes threatens and even hurts his enemies to get information, most notably when he and Vinnie force-feed Jimmy ice cream, giving him a brain-freeze.
- He blows up a monorail at one point, which causes a cart with Blackwell's henchmen to fall into the turbine and get crushed by it, but he expresses no remorse over the fact, even though it's implied that he saw it happen.
Trivia[]
- He, Garmadon, Nya, Wyldstyle, Blue, Batman and Iron Man are the only five LEGO Near Pure Goods so far.
- He is also the only LEGO City Near Pure Good.
