Charlotte "Charlie" Emily is the main protagonist of the Five Nights at Freddy's Novel Trilogy. She is a robotic duplicate of Henry Emily's daughter after the original was kidnapped and killed by William Afton.

What Makes Her Close to Being Pure Good?[]
- Charlie is overall a kind hearted, humble, compassionate girl who is always willing to protect her friends even against impossible odds.
- 10 years after the events of the Missing Children Incident she attends a memorial dedicated to her missing friend Michael Brooks who was one of the kids who was murdered by Afton. This is in spite of the traumatic memories she had of her hometown and all the years she tried to move on.
- She shows sympathy and understanding towards Michael’s parents and knows they never left Hurricane as they held out hope that Michael could return home.
- She takes her childhood friends to Freddy’s for old times sake and to honor Michael’s memory.
- She goes to Fredbear's to keep investigating.
- She wants to solve the mystery of her twin brother Sammy's abduction.
- After William abducts Carlton, she and her other friends go fetch Officer Dunn for help.
- She goes to her old childhood home to find more answers about Fredbear's.
- She goes to help Jason upon hearing he has run off to save Carlton.
- She returns once more to the restaurant to help Carlton.
- She undoes the springlocks in the suit William trapped Carlton in, freeing him before he could die a horrible death.
- She knocks William unconscious with a pipe.
- She tries to fight the animatronics to protect her friends.
- She activates the springlocks on William's suit, killing him, but allowing her and everyone else to get away. While it was extremely brutal, she had no other choice at the moment, not to mention Afton deserved it due to murdering several children in the same way for his sadistic satisfaction and amusement.
- She visits her father's grave before leaving Hurricane.
- She wanted to return to Hurricane to find Sammy.
- She helps Officer Clay Burke investigate mysterious murders that could be connected to Freddy's.
- She is extremely anxious when discovering William’s body was not found and may have survived thus returns to Freddy’s to ensure his death.
- She lies to John that Clay has the situation under control to reassure him and herself.
- She helps Arty despite being annoyed by him.
- Upon finding the dead body of Tracy Horton she reports it to Officer Clay.
- Upon finding out the Twisted Animatronics are trying to kill her, she decides to go alone to the next point they will attack, knowing that more lives could be lost if she doesn't, this results in her being captured by them.
- She and her friends manage to burn down Twisted Bonnie and Twisted Wolf.
- Upon noticing that Springtrap is escaping, she leaves her friends behind to go after him.
- She confronts Springtrap and demands the truth about her brother's disappearance.
- She goes back to Aunt Jen's house to retrieve papers that could her them understand the situation.
- She lets Baby talk to her so that John can live.
- After regaining the Ella Doll she breaks into a fight with Baby.
- She defeats Baby by activating Henry's robot to impale both of them plus the Ella Doll, sacrificing her life for John's sake.
What Prevents Her From Being Pure Good?[]
- She can act rashly and without thinking at times when she gets caught up in her goals, putting not only herself but others in danger. Also, by calling Officer Dunn, it indirectly results in his death at William's hands while he was investigating at Freddy's.
- She lied to Jessica during The Twisted Ones about going out and doing "girl stuff" when in reality she was taking her to Freddy's to keep investigating about William, despite knowing fully well that the animatronics that tried to kill them in the previous novel where still present and active.
Trivia[]
- She and her FNaF Raps counterpart are the only versions of Charlie/Puppet to be Near Pure Good as their original version from the games is Pure Good.
- It is unknown if her upcoming movie counterpart in Five Nights at Freddy's 2 will also qualify as Near Pure Good.
