Cedric the Sorcerer is the (former) central antagonist and later a supporting character of Sofia the First. Serving as the main antagonist of the first 3 seasons and a supporting character of the 4th and final season of the series, who originally wanted to take over Enchancia and steal Sofia's amulet until he has a change of heart in the episode "Day of the Sorcerers" and become more heroic.
His Good Ranking[]
What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Good?[]
- Despite being the main antagonist of the first 3 seasons and even being an occasional anti-hero and on and off, Cedric's actions are showed to be quite harmless (with the exception of freezing multiple innocents with the Medusa stones, thus placing them in a fate worse than death) as he never really killed anyone, especially Sofia and was affable towards Wormwood (before his betrayal) and Sofia, and even loyal to King Roland.
- He more than once sacrificed his chances on stealing the amulet of avalor. In "Cedric's Apprentice", he decides to pour the invisible potion on Clover which he was originally going to pour on himself to steal the amulet and in "Cedric Be Good", he gave the amulet back to Sofia and officially gave up on stealing as he couldn't deal with the curse it's giving him anymore.
- He turned James back into his normal self when he accidently turned him into a baby.
- He stopped Miss Nettle from stealing Sofia's amulet and ended her spell.
- He helped Sofia and Amber stop Princess Ivy from destroying the amulet of avalor and taking over Enchancia.
- Despite having a strained relationship with his father and sister, Cedric does care about them and reconciles with them later on.
- He stopped Grimtrix and his weasel from stealing Sofia's amulet.
- By Season 4, starting in "Day of the Sorcerers", Cedric officially redeems himself and gets rid of his anti-heroic and on and off acts as he apologizes to Sofia for his selfish actions and ending his friendship with her to take over Enchancia and stops Grimtrix from taking over.
- He fixed his broken relationship with his sister, stopped the Castle from shrinking and fixed her hair.
- When King Roland understandably didn't trust him due to taking over Enchancia and freezing him and his family, he held no grudge against him and was willing to get his trust back by helping him and Sofia find the stolen crown, and even saved Sofia from falling into a hole Prisma made, successfully regaining Roland's trust.
- He was hurt by Wormword's betrayal when he decided to work with Prisma over him, due to becoming good after the events of "Day of the Sorcerers".
- In the series finale, Cedric casts a spell and freed Sofia and Prisma from the amulet along with everyone else and even gives back the amulet to Sofia, showing that he has really given up his villainous ways.
What Prevents Him From Being Pure Good?[]
- While he subverted most of his corrupting factors from the first 3 seasons, Cedric still has some arrogant moments.
