Your hands aren't dirty, Hawks!! I believe in you! Everyone does! You did the right thing! So don't die on us!
~ Fumikage Tokoyami, after Dabi told him about what Hawks did.
Better watch out, PAL, because I’ve broken six phones in my life accidentally, but I’m gonna break you on purpose!
~ Katie Mitchell preparing to kill PAL.

Righteous Killers, also known as Fake Lethal, are those who kill other characters (pretty much villainous/harmful characters) when it is needed. These heroes are willing to kill only when it is necessary for them to do so, with the need to survive for the greater good, mercy killing in ending someone's misery, are left with no other choice, or a sacrifice that ends up saving more lives and putting an end to an evil-doer that would do more harm than good if left alive. Unlike lethal heroes and their fanon counterparts, these characters are almost never willing to kill and after killing they would most likely feel bad.

Manslaughter and suicide do not always count as a Righteous Kill here as some of those Near Pure Goods did not mean to directly kill someone as a last resort for the best decision to make in certain situations.

This category can also be applied to characters heavily implied to have killed someone.

Mind controlled doesn't count because these heroes kill on their own accord.

They are the opposites of Zero Kill Count Near Pure Evils and a counterpart to Homicidal Near Pure Evils.

NOTE: This Category is not to be confused with Minor Lethal. Righteous Killers only kill those when necessary, such as to protect someone and defend themselves from death whereas minor lethal heroes would still kill when it's not needed (e.g. Sans, Mira, and Mr. Wolf). These two categories are not mutually exclusive as in some cases, Near Pure Goods can fall under both if they kill to defend themselves and someone else in some cases and kills some that aren't attacking in others (e.g. Obi-Wan Kenobi, Carmelita Fox, Urbosa, Cassie Cage, Erron Beaudoin, Spider-Man, etc.)
