Near Pure Good Hero Wiki
At the time of the first great zapfish disappearance, I didn't know octolings were brainwashed, I just saw them all as evil creatures with no heart, so I killed them. When I first saw Katelin, she was lost, desperate to get to the surface. She literally begged at my knees... The captain was confused and then me and Kate fought, mistaking each over for a threat, but then we were knocked away. Next time I saw her, she and the captain were trapped in a blender, so I kicked them out of it, but the fall knocked me unconscious. Then, I was mind controlled by Tartar, and nearly killed her again, but I also attacked the captain. Thankfully, Katelin kicked my sorry ass. When I woke up, I realized the truth. Not all octolings are bad. Not even the majority. I don't know how many innocent people I killed, and it keeps me up at night.
~ Jade Grady showing genuine remorse for killing the Octolings upon realizing they were brainwashed into being evil.
Anne, Sasha, I'm sorry. I was so scared of moving away. The thought of losing you was just so big! I-I was afraid that if we weren't together, we wouldn't be friends anymore.
~ Marcy Wu apologizing to Anne and Sasha for getting them stranded in Amphibia.
The worst part is... *bursts into tears* I TRIED TAKING AN OCTOLING AWAY FROM HER INKLING FRIENDS! THAT WASNT PROTECTION, THAT WAS OBSESSION! I DONT DESERVE TO LIVE!
~ Ruby Diorite feeling intense remorse for trying to separate Samuel Turfblu and Natalie Octarine.
We're sorry, bear guy.
~ Diaz apologizing to Grizz for being dismissive towards the latter for his incompetence in the Peewee Ranger Games.

These are Near Pure Goods who are apologetic and feel bad for the things that they have done, even though their actions are never evil. Their remorse is potentially able to help them to learn from their actions and mistakes. Due to their remorse, they tend to attempt to solve the problems that they have caused.

Their evil opposites fake their remorse, and their evil counterparts have a small degree of remorse.
