Hidden Near Pure Goods, also known as Hidden Heart of Gold characters are Near Pure Goods who aren't revealed to be good at first, usually morally neutral (eg. Black Widow, Jinbe or Bobby) or they're mistaken to be bad characters (eg. Gwen, Hawks or Shoto Todoroki), or they used to be villains (eg. Starlight Glimmer, Zeldris or Gaara). Eventually it is revealed in the story that these heroes are very noble.

This is a good counterpart to Hidden Near Pure Evil villains.
