Near Pure Goods who are hinted by the story or to the reader, to be a good counterpart of a villain or counterpart of an existing hero of their series. Examples include:
- Hawks - who is a counterpart to the fallen hero Lady Nagant, since they were trained by the same government but they both took their corrupt orders by them in completely different ways. Lady Nagant obeyed without question until the last moment, while Hawks drew a line and even rebelled against them.
- Starlight Glimmer - who is a counterpart to Queen Chrysalis, since they are manipulative and controlling tyrants who treated their subjects with harsh methods, but while Starlight reforms and moves on, Chrysalis refuses to reform and did not move on.
