Bumblebee is one of the three deuteragonists (alongside Mikaela Banes and Carly Spencer) of the original continuity of the Transformers live-action film series. He is Optimus Prime's right hand and most loyal lieutenant. He was the guardian of Sam Witwicky and later Cade Yeager.

He is voiced by Mark Ryan in the first film and by Erik Aadahl in The Last Knight.

What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Good?

Transformers

• He arrived on Earth in search for the Allspark before the other Autobots.
• After locating it on Earth, he sent a signal to the other Autobots.
• Protected Sam from a pack of rabbid dogs, even though Sam thought Bee was going to kill him.
• Went back to Sam's place, and even though he chased him, he was only trying to protect him from Decepticons, as demonstarted when Barricade attacked Sam.
• Fought and defeated Barricade to protect Sam and Mikaela.
• Saved Sam and Mikaela from falling to their deaths and in the process sacrificed himself and got apprehended and frozen by Sector Seven.
• Despite being aggressive to S7 after waking up, it's justified given they'd kidnapped him, nearly froze him to death, and tried to experiment on him. Even then he never actually hurt anyone.
• He took the Allspark with Sam to Mission City.
• When Starscream arrived he and Ironhide tried to protect the humans by using a truck and their own bodies, which resulted in Bee losing his legs.
• He kept fighting without his legs after being put on a tow truck by Mikaela, and delivered the killing blow to Brawl.
• Chose to stay with Sam after the battle of Mission City.

Revenge of the Fallen

• He killed and destroyed all the Kitchen Bots to protect the Witwicky family, even though he damaged their house in the process.
• Went to get Sam after Reedman stole the last shard of the Allspark.
• He and Optimus saved Sam, Mikaela, and Leo from Megatron and Starscream.
• He evacuated the humans and saved Sam after Optimus was killed.
• He didn't blame Sam for Optimus' death.
• Went to the airport with Sam, Leo, Mikaela, Simmmons, and the Twins to speak to Jetfire.
• After being transported to Egypt, he and the others searched for the Matrix of Leadership which could resurrect Optimus.
• He defeats and kills Ravage, saving Sam and his parents.
• He leaves the fight to take care of Sam's parents, even though he comes back when Sam is presumably killed by Megatron.

Dark of the Moon

• He no longer lives with Sam and joins the other Autobots in important missions.
• Went with Dino and Sidewsipe to dismantle a secret nuclear facility.
• He prevents military soldiers from taking Sam captive and returns to protecting him.
• Fought to protect Sam and Sentinel Prime during the Highway chase.
• Tried to fight against Sentinel when he revealed he was working with the Decepticons.
• He and the other Autobots faked their deaths and returned to fight in the battle of Chicago.
• Helped Sam rescue Carly by piloting a Decepticon ship.
• Saves Sam and Lennox from falling to their deaths after they kill Starscream.
• He is deeply sadenned when Que is executed by Barricade and Soundwave and bids farewell to Sam when he's about to be executed himself.
• Battles and kills Soundwave and later fought Sentinel head on along other Autobots.
• He destroys the central pillar by crashing into it.

Age of Extinction

• After Transformers began to be hunted, he went into hiding and didn't hurt any humans.
• Answered Optimus Prime's call for surviving Autobots, having taken leadership in his absence.
• Burst into KSI along the other Autobots to destroy their facilities which used cybertronian corpses to make their own Transformers.
• He went to rescue Optimus after he was captured by Lockdown.
• He and Hound fought in Hong Kong against the many KSI drones.
• Teamed up with Strafe to defeat Stinger.
• Was the only Autobot that went to help Optimus fight Lockdown.

The Last Knight

• Stayed with Cade and other Autobots, and spent the following years saving Transformers.
• He saved Cade from the TRF even though he was quite literally, blown to pieces in the process.
• Fought Megatron's team of Decepticons and killed Mohawk.
• Went with Cade and Cogman to Edmund Burton's house to help in the Knights of Iacon conflict.
• It's revealed he helped the Allied Forces during World War II.
• He went with Cade and Viviane to the sunken Guardian knight ship.
• Fought Nemesis Prime and tried to reawaken his old personality, being nearly killed in the process.
• He regained his voice, and it was enough to snap Optimus out of Quintessa's trance.
• He went with the other Autobots to Quintessa's headquarters and fought in the final battle to prevent Cybertron from destroying Earth.
• Killed Nitro Zeus and managed to desintegrate Quintessa's physical form by shooting her in the back.
• Thanked Cade for saving Optimus from the knights.

What Prevents Him From Being Pure Good?

• Can be prone to violent and jerkish behavior as he started a fight with Crosshairs for calling him a kid and broke up a fight between Mudflap and Skids by tossing them out of the temple though it was most likely to prevent them from injuring or killing Sam during their childish squabbling.

Trivia

• He is the only Autobot from the Bayverse to be Near Pure Good as every other Autobot is simply too homicidal and violent or just doesn't stand out enough.
• His Reboot Films counterpart is Pure Good due to lacking this version's lethality and jerkishness.
