Buffy Anne Summers is the titular main protagonist of the Buffyverse.
She is the chosen one who was designed to exterminate vampires, demons, and other representatives of otherworldly forces.
She was portrayed by Sarah Michelle Gellar, who also played Daphne Blake in Raja Gonsell's Scooby-Doo duology.

What Makes Her Close to Being Pure Good?[]
- As a child, she was very friendly with her cousin Celia, but when she turned 8, Celia died during a serious illness, and Buffy was very worried about what happened.
- Her life changed dramatically after meeting a strange man who told a strange story about a girl with supernatural powers who has to protect the world from evil forces. Thus Buffy found out that she was a Vampire Slayer, and a strange man named Merrick turned out to be her first mentor and teacher—Observer.
- After killing the first vampire, she discarded all skepticism and believed in the truthfulness of Merrick's words. But soon her Watcher was killed. Without his advice and support, Buffy tried to learn the art of exterminating bloodsuckers on her own.
- She burned down the vampire lair along with her school's gym.
- She and her mom Joyce moved to the town of Sunnydale, where Buffy hoped to escape her duties as a Slayer. Her plans are complicated by Rupert Giles, her new Watcher, who reminds her of the inevitable presence of Evil.
