Bubbly is a minor character in Monica's Gang, and the main protagonist of his own spin-off, The Funnies.
His name is Astronauta Pereira, he is a Brazilian space explorer, being the highest ranking officer of BRASA (Brasileiros Astronautas) and the spokesman of Earth in intergalactical interactions. He is a prominent character in Shine of a Pulse arc in Monica Teen, being promoted to Commander Astro, and having Sunny's sister, Xabeu, and Specs as his employees in his new ship. One of the most recurring theme of his stories is that of loneliness and regret, as he wished he'd have chosen another path to live a happy life with his parents and love interest in Earth.
He was voiced by João Boy.

What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Good?[]
- He became a space explorer to bring more knowledge to Earth.
- He ended racism in a planet inhabited by different color balls.
- He saved a race of aliens from a much bigger one that tyrannized over them.
- He prevented multiple alien races from waging war over Earth multiple times.
- He prevented aliens from kidnapping all sea life in Earth.
- He prevented a meteor from crashing in Earth.
- He saved a princess from the Space Witch and prevented a war between the kingdoms.
- By discovering Lord Kamem's weakness alongside Franklyn, he played a big role in ending his cosmical tyranny, redeeming Mimi, and saving Earth from him.
- He helped Jimmy Five defeat Aurora Borealis, by saving both him and Smudge from the Space Void, and retrieving the Air Element from her, thus playing a role in Jimmy and the rest of the gang saving reality from Franflyn's machine.
What Prevents Him From Being Pure Good?[]
- He can be a rather cold jerk towards his employees and other people, though he is mostly taken lightly, and cares about protecting humanity. A lot of it also comes from his insecurities, and in the end of "Shine of a Pulse" arc, he seems to have gotten over most of it.
Trivia[]
- In the Adventure in Time movie, Bubbly says he comes from the future, while he is usually presented as a spaceman in the present, which could mean that the movie is not canon. However, it is usually presented as just a continuity error, or Astro traveled to the future with his advanced technology. If it wasn't canon, he maybe would be removed from NPG, as helping defeat Borealis and retrieving the Air Element from her are big reasons of why he is admirable enough.
