Benimaru is a major protagonist in the That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime series.
He voiced by Makoto Furukawa as an adult and Makoto Koichi as a child in Japanese. He is voiced by Ricco Fajardo as a adult and Emily Fajardo as a child in English.

What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Good?[]
In General[]
- Although while he was more reliant on Rimuru Tempest in earlier stories he becomes more independent enough to not be completely under orders to stand out and not fail to his master.
- Despite the fact he married Albis and Momiji, Demi-Humans have different age standards than humans thus isn't corrupting given his age not revealed. Plus he accepted the arrange marriage of the two in the end.
- Despite the high admirable standards, he stands out for being one of Rimuru Tempest's top subordinates in charge of leading the Jura-Tempest Federation's army leading to key victories in many battles.
That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime[]
- While he, Shuna, Souei, Kurobe, Shion and Hakurou originally attacked Rimuru Tempest and Goblins it was due to being mislead of the mask resembling Footman's make them thought he was with the attackers that destroyed the Ogre Village until Rimuru proved his innocence and would apologize once his confusion is cleared up.
- He would accept Rimuru's offer of allyship and even Rimuru's offer to give him and the other Ogres names who would be bestowed the name "Benimaru" and while originally temporally they would make it permanent with him general of Rimuru's forces.
- He would play a major role against the Orc Lord event when he would deal with the various Orc Generals in a rescue of the Lizardmen.
- While he did kill many it isn't considered lethal since it was done to save the various Lizardmen due to them being consumed by hunger making killing unavoidable here.
- In the Manga and the now evolved Kijin would fight Gelmud himself though Rimuru dealt with Gelmud in the Light Novel and Anime however.
- He and the other Kijin would take on the Orc Lord himself before allowing Rimuru to take over in battle.
- Afterwards he would forgive Geld the son of the Orc Lord who was gonna offer his own head but said is not needed if he swear loyality to Rimuru and make up for it.
- In Visions of Coleus he and Souei would help Rimuru Tempest in his mission in the nation.
- He would lead a counterstrike against Falmuth's forced taking out Knights Guarding the Crystal so Rimuru can revive the fallen citizens of the nation.
- He would lead the Jura-Tempest Federation's forces in the Beast Kingdom of Eurazania leading a ambush against Clayman's Forces without high causalities on either side.
- When Charybdis was revived in the aforementioned battle, he rescued Ablis' life while making quick work of the Generic Doomsday Villain.
- When Rimuru had him and Ablis be ambassador to the Tengu when things went wrong, he would ensure to not make things worse until Tengu Chieftain Kaede defused it.
- During Rimuru's second encounter with Hinata Sakaguchi, he would hold off one of her subordinates in a duel without killing.
- During the Eastern Empire Invasion he would lead Tempest's Forces against them and dealing with one of their generals in combat in his defense of the Jura-Tempest Federation.
- Although he did have a high-body count in that event, the Eastern Empire soldiers were far too ruthless and relentless for less lethal means to work as they're not a option given the Eastern Empire are well known for ruthless methods of war.

- He would play a role against Cliché forces dealing with Frey Aur when she tried to attack transports in starving the Western Nations into surrender with Ablis and Kokoyoru's assistance.
- He would lead a attack when attacking Cliché's underground base while ensuring the tunnels don't collapse against False King Brigade, Cliché herself and multiple copies of Hyuga.

What Prevents Him From Being Pure Good?[]
- He has multiple lethal moments throughout the series and while most of his kills were justified, he was mostly remorseless of them and while he shown remorse before it wasn't towards his enemies mostly. However none of them were innocents just soldiers of war or villains who deserved it. Additionally he isn't lethal on level when compared to Shion or Souei who overdo it or do it brutally. But some examples his lethality include.
- He ends up picking with a fight with Phobio defeating him and duel with Carrion during delegation to the beast kingdom.
- He killed several Holy Knights guarding a barrier crystal during Falmuth Invasion and while justified given they aided in Falmuth Invasion against the Jura-Tempest Federation, he didn't show remorse for that act and took some minor pleasure in doing it here.
- He has shown to be wrathful at times mainly whenever Rimuru Tempest is disrespected even if it was unintentional disrespect making him tend to lash out.
- He has shown minor stances of being of being arrogance at times.
