Benjamin Kirby Tennyson, known simply as Ben or Ben Prime, is the titular main protagonist of the Cartoon Network franchise Ben 10, created by Man of Action. He is a young boy who discovers a mysterious alien device called the Omnitrix, which allows him to transform into different alien species, each with unique powers and abilities.
Throughout the series, Ben uses the Omnitrix to fight various villains, save the world, and handle other intergalactic threats. His adventures typically involve his cousin Gwen and his grandfather Max, who guide and assist him in his role as a young hero.
As a kid, he was voiced by Tara Strong, who also provided the voices of Bubbles from Powerpuff Girls and Ashi from Samurai Jack. As a teenager, he was voiced by Yuri Lowenthal, who also voiced Simon from Gurren Lagann. In the live-action film Alien Swarm, he was portrayed by Ryan Kelley.

What Prevents Him From Being Pure Good?[]
- He can be very reckless and impulsive, often making brash decisions on a whim or acting irrationally.
- In Alien Force, he allowed Zs'Skayr to take over his body, which resulted in Zs'Skayr almost killing Gwen, Kevin and Vilgax. While it was part of Ben's plan to trap Ghostfreak back in the Omnitrix and he had no control over his actions, Ben never apologizes or shows remorse when Kevin and Gwen call him out on it.
- Although the Omnitrix sometimes has trouble selecting the "right" alien, Ben occasionally chooses aliens based on his own interests or preferences rather than what’s most suitable for the situation. This reliance on personal choices, rather than prioritizing the best option, often ends up putting people in greater danger.
- He also had a very prominent lethal moment when he tried to kill Kevin after he mutated into Ultimate Kevin. Although he claimed it was an act of mercy, believing Kevin was beyond saving, Gwen demonstrated that Kevin could still be reasoned with. However, Ben ignored this and tried to kill him anyway, and would have, had Gwen not intervened.
- When him and Gwen fought in who had to save Kevin, he shot giant blasts of lava at Gwen as well as shot a laser at her when he turned into Way Big.
- When angered, he tends to beat up his foes in pretty brutal fashion, most notably attacking Aggregor in a fit of rage for killing the Andromeda Aliens, which forced Gwen to rein him in. However, this was understandable considering everything he had done.
- Although he's matured significantly since he was 10, he still has moments of arrogance and entitlement. This is especially true in Alien Force Season 3, where his fame from saving the world often goes to his head, annoying Gwen and Kevin.
- In Omniverse, he frequently uses his fame to gain favors from others.
- He was ultimately not a good boyfriend to Julie Yamamoto, as he showed no concern when Ship was taken, didn't stop an adult Jennifer Nocturne from kissing him (when he certainly could have), he also flirted with and eventually kissed Eunice while his and Julie's relationship status was still "unclear", and accidentally broke up with her on the phone due to being more focused on Sumo Slammers when talking on the phone with her.
