Near Pure Good Hero Wiki

I'm not smart enough to do everything, but I'm dumb enough to try anything.
~ Beast Boy.

Garfield Mark Logan, also known as Beast Boy, is one of the five main protagonists of the 2003 animated series Teen Titans, and one of the main characters of the series finale movie Teen Titans: Trouble in Tokyo and Teen Titans Go! vs. Teen Titans. He is a former member of the Doom Patrol, and one of the five founding members of the Teen Titans. He's also Robin and Cyborg's best friend.

He is voiced by Greg Cipes.

His Good Ranking[]

What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Good?[]

In General[]

  • Before becoming a member of the Teen Titans, he was a member of the Doom Patrol and joined with them to fight crime.
  • He chooses to save his team over destroying the generator, even if he got a reprimanding from Mento for disobeying him.
  • He helped protect Jump City from various villains along with the other Titans.
  • Even though he acts immature most of the time, he has moments where he takes things seriously and acts more mature as the series goes on. Furthermore, he often tolerates his friend's rude behavior to him.
  • He usually tries to make his friends happy when they're down by being funny and making jokes, even if they're bad.

Season 1[]

  • He truly felt bad for his accidental prank on Starfire and apologized to her at the end of "Forces of Nature".
    • In the same episode, he redeemed Thunder and Lightning by teaching them how their bad actions were harming others.
  • In "Nevermore", when he and Cyborg were trapped in Raven's mind, they team up to find her and they assist her in her battle against Trigon.
  • In "Deep Six", even though he had a rivalry with the new titan Aqualad, he still worked together with him to defeat Trident who was stealing nuclear waste.
  • In "Apprentice - Part 1", he comments that Robin is starting to act like Slade (only for Robin to call him out for it) and tries to stop him when he tries to steal a device from Wayne Enterprises in "Apprentice - Part 2".
    • In the same episode, he and the rest of the Titans save Robin from Slade and join him in taking him down.

Season 2[]

  • In "Every Dog Has His Day", he defeats Soto with the rest of the Titans after being kidnapped by him.
  • In "Terra", when he meets Terra, he accepts her as a new friend and member of the Titans and started to form a relationship with her.
    • When he discovers Terra escaped, he immediately rushes to find her, calms her down and tells her he won't tell anyone she loses control of her powers.
  • In "Betrayal", he fights off Slade when he attacks him and refuses to believe that Terra became his apprentice until Terra reveals it's true.
  • In "Aftershock - Part 2", he doesn't want to fight Terra and encourages her to fight back against Slade, claiming she can still do the right thing and "it's never too late to change". This ultimatley allows Terra to redeem herself.
    • In the same episode, he tried to get Terra to come with him and the other Titans to evacuate the city before the volcano erupts, but Terra chose to stay and stop the volcano from erupting.

Season 3[]

  • In "Crash", after he caused Cyborg to be infected with a virus by putting Mega Monkeys 4 into his computer, he tries to fix his mistake by transforming into an amoeba and going inside Cyborg, and eventually stopping the virus, showing how much he cares for Cyborg.
  • In "Haunted", while he was sick and coming down with a cold, he still helped the titans in their mission.
    • He searched for the generator Slade was arming in Jump City.
    • He tried to stop Robin from going after Slade after being strapped to a bed.
  • In "Revolution", he, Starfire, Cyborg and Raven try to find Robin, who was kidnapped by Mad Mod to steal his young age.
  • In "The Beast Within", after being doused with chemicals and being more bitter, angry and aggressive than usual, he shows complete remorse for how he acted and apologized to Raven for almost attacking her. It's also worth noting that the way he was acting wasn't his fault and he had no idea what he was doing.
  • In "Can I Keep Him?", he adopts a mutant larvae he names "Silkie" and trusts Starfire to take good care of it.

Season 4[]

  • In "Employee of the Month", he fights his way through a horde of Bobs, kidnaps the Source that was made of tofu, and takes it back to Titans Tower to figure out how to stop it and foils the Newfu's plan by pressing the button that shuts the machine down, restoring the cows and saving the earth from destruction.
  • He helped Raven and the other Titans to stop Trigon from taking over the world.

Season 5[]

  • In the end of "Homecoming - Part 1", he makes the same decision he did when he was part of the Doom Patrol by saving the Titans over stopping the Brotherhood of Evil from escaping.
    • In "Homecoming - Part 2", When he and Mento try to track down the Brotherhood of Evil, he insists they contact the Titans for help, but Mento refuses any help, and he later tries to contact them himself, and when Mento breaks the communicator, he rebels and refuses to go any further with him, which makes Mento come to his senses and become more cautious in their mission.
    • In the same episode, he activates the Quantum Generator to generate a black hole, destroying the Brotherhood's fortress.
  • When he first met Robin, he offers to be his sidekick and join his side in "Go!".
  • He learns to be more mature in Season 5 and leads the other titans in stopping The Brain and the Brotherhood of Evil's plans, showing how good of a leader he is in "Titans Together".
  • In "Things Change", he tries to find Terra and get her to come back to the team, showing he still cares for her.
    • When he finds out Terra has no memories of him or the Titans, he tells the story of how he and the Titans defeated the Brotherhood of Evil and even shows her the Titans Tower to help her regain her memories.
    • He battles Slade again when he appears from the mirrors and over Terra.
    • When he was told to move on and let go of the past, he eventually accepted that Terra wants to be normal, lets her go and rushes to help Robin and the others battle the creature.

Teen Titans: Trouble in Toyko and Teen Titans Go! vs Teen Titans[]

  • He and the other Titans defeat Uehara Daizo and Brushogun in Teen Titans: Trouble in Toyko.
  • He goes off on a quest with the other titans and their Go! counterparts to find the two Ravens and save them from the two Trigons in Teen Titans Go! vs Teen Titans.
  • He joins the Titans and the other versions of the Titans in defeating the two Trigons.

What Prevents Him From Being Pure Good?[]

  • He is often mischievous and sometimes immature, as he plays pranks on his friends and often doesn't take things seriously.
  • Although he did regret this, he hacked into Cyborg’s system recharger without asking him just to play Mega Monkeys 4 which led to Cyborg having a behavioral computer virus, though he did fix it.
