Near Pure Good Hero Wiki

Superman, wait! We don't fight each other, we're a team! Ugh! Today I thought Robin might be hurt. It scared me to think about that. It was the first time I let myself be scared for a long while. And it scared me, because he is my friend.... And you are too.
~ Batman's speech to free Superman from Brainiac's mind control

Bruce Wayne, better known as Batman, is the titular main protagonist of the LEGO Batman video game series. He is the LEGO version of the classic protector of Gotham City, having, side by side with the Justice League, protected the entire world from more dangerous threats, such as Brainiac, The Syndicate of Crime or Darkseid.

He was voiced by Steve Blum in LEGO Batman: The Videogame, Troy Baker in LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes and LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham, and the late Kevin Conroy in LEGO DC Super-Villains.

His Good Ranking[]

What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Good?[]

LEGO Batman series[]

  • This version of Batman is not an anti-hero at all.
  • He stopped the mass Arkham Asylum breakout led by the Riddler, the Penguin and the Joker, arresting 18 of his most dangerous villains and their goons, saving the city from them.
  • Unlike some versions, this one actually helps Gotham as Bruce Wayne with his wealth and influence, even becoming Man of The Year because of it.
  • He defeated The Joker, Harley Quinn, Two Face, the Riddler, and the Penguin when they attacked the Man of the Year celebration.
  • When Lex Luthor broke the Joker out of Arkham, and subsequently, many other villains (as a distraction, only the Joker mattered to him) Batman defeated and once again arrested all the other villains that were freed.
  • He investigates what Lex and the Joker are planning.
  • Despite not initially liking the idea, he accepts Superman's help.
  • Tricked the Joker into pursuing him through Gotham in his giant mecha-armor, while it was leaking Kryptonite, creating a patter which allowed Martian Manhunter to, from space, realize a problem was happening and calling the whole Justice League to help.
  • He defeats the Joker and Lex Luthor along with the rest of the League.
  • When the Justice League Base in space is being attacked by the Joker, Lex, and many other villains, he and the rest of the Justice League go there to help.
  • When Robin's spaceship is destroyed, he creates a force field, so he won't die in the space.
  • Was willing to work alongside villains, such as the ones that attacked the base, to take down bigger threats, Brainiac in this case.
  • Freed the Green Lantern from his brainwashing.
  • Went to Ysmault to recruit Atrocitus to help him (while disguised as the Joker) along with several villains and heroes, even if Atrocitus is the most dangerous of all Ring Lanterns.
  • In the final battle, he does a speech that makes Superman get out of his hypnotised state.
  • He stops acting as a jerk to people just because they wanted to help, even if they were a pure-hearted friend like Superman, or a literal child who looks up to him, Robin. He realizes his ways will do nothing but push people away from him, subverting this corrupting trait.
  • Stopped the mass Stryker's Island breakout before being trapped by the Syndicate of Crime.
  • When he was freed, he and the other heroes agreed to fight along with the villains to stop Darkseid.
  • Tried to convince the Rookie to become a hero along with the other heroes, though it is up to the player if he becomes or not.

LEGO DImensions[]

  • He joined Wyldstyle and Gandalf on a quest to save the multiverse from Lord Vortech.
  • While he attempted to capture Scarecrow from the Wizard of Oz dimension, it was only because he mistook him for a villain from his world.
  • He helped the Doctor trap Lord Vortech, preventing him from menacing the multiverse ever again.
  • While he returned GLaDOS' Amorality Core to her, it was part of a deal he made with her. Adding to it, removing the Amorality Core in the first place didn't affect her mindset, only her actions.

What Prevents Him From Being Pure Good?[]

  • While his jerkiness did diminish, he still acts arrogantly in his interactions with others, and is sometimes too stubborn.

Trivia[]

  • He is the first and only LEGO Near Pure Good to come from a DC related media, as well as the first to come from a video game, followed by Chase McCain and Iron Man.
  • He is one of the six versions of Batman to be NPG, alongside his Nolanverse, Gotham, DCEU, and Injustice counterparts, and Terry McGinnis Batman.
    • Coincidentally, both him and the Injustice version of him, come from videogames.
