Atreus, also known by his Jotunn name Loki is the deuteragonist of the Norse era of the videogame series, God of War. He is the son of Kratos and Faye, many years after his father's adventures in Greece which led to the realm's near-destruction. Initially sickly, Atreus accompanies Kratos on his journey to scatter Faye's ashes across the highest point in the realms.
He is voiced and mo-capped by Sunny Suljic.

In General[]
- Despite being sickly, Atreus decided to accompany Kratos in the journey.
- While Atreus revealed he secretly wished for Kratos to die instead of his mother, he immediately took it back and showed remorse.
- Atreus pushed Kratos into helping civilians and spirits in the side-quests, thus beginning Kratos's journey to open his hear towards the suffering of the realm.
- Despite Kratos being far stronger than him, Atreus often plays a decisive role in helping him in the puzzles as well as several enemies.

- When Freya attacks them out of revenge, Kratos and Atreus choose not to fight her, trying to convince her of their non-hostile intentions.
- Atreus went to ally with Freya against Odin and Thor, correctly realizing Freya doesn't really wish to harm him.

What Prevents Him From Being Pure Good?[]
- Despite Kratos's warnings, Atreus recklessly freed Garm from his strings, which lead to several monsters attacking the team. But as he thought Odin was torturing him, it is a minor prevention.
- While he sheds most of his arrogance, Atreus told Kratos off when he warned him about going to Asgard and injured Sindri when he tried to talk sense into him.
- He accused Kratos of having double standards about keeping secrets (thinking it’s ok when he lies, but not his son). But even if Atreus was guilty of the same thing, he is not necessarily wrong to want to learn the truth, so this is a minor prevention.

- Previously, Atreus used to be Inconsistently Admirable, until it was discussed that he subverted most of his corrupting traits by the end of Ragnarök.
- Atreus, alongside Týr are the only God of War heroes to be Near Pure Good.
