Ao Lie, also known as the White Horse Dragon, is a minor character in the animated series LEGO Monkie Kid.
He is one of Sun Wukong's journey companions in the group of pilgrims that protagonized the Journey to the West. Initially a slothful dragon that, though good natured, felt no real motivation to act through, he eventually became a honorable hero along with Sun Wukong, and one of the latter's truest friends.
He was voiced by Michael Sinterniklaas as a human, and by Patrick Seitz as a dragon.

What Makes Him Close to Pure Good?[]
- Ever since the pilgrims had their Journey, Ao Lie was a good hearted man, unlike most of his fellow pilgrims, whose only bad quality was the lack of resolve and overly passiveness he demonstrated.
- He defeated the serial killer demon Kui Mulang, the Yellow Robed Demon, who had kidnapped him to use as part of a ritual to bring his lover back.
- While he didn't truly give a pep talk to Mei, as that was a version of him from within the Scroll of Memory, his personality is still supposed to match the real Ao Lie, meaning he would've been just as ready to talk with and help his descendant.
- He helped the pilgrims survive many dangers during their Journey, and became true friends with them.
- Helped defeat the Lady Bone Demon during her first rising to power.
- When the Samadhi Fire sealing ritual nearly failed due to Wukong's mistake, Ao Lie captured the final stray of fire and absorbed it within himself, thus ensuring the safety of the universe.
What Prevents Him From Pure Good?[]
- He fails the standards to his descendant, Mei, who, with similar powers, saved the universe from Lady Bone Demon.
